Replace the lock assembly: Open the lid and remove four philips screws from underneath the gasket. Carefully and patiently remove all of the gasket clips, first from the left and right sides then remove all but two from the top so when the final one comes out the panel and gasket can come towards you and then set gently in the top of the freezer. The door to our freezer was sagging due to the a nylon bearing wearing out on the bottom hinge. The sagging door prevented a good seal. I replaced the bottom bearing, and the door seals perfectly.
