This shelf spacer is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer, and it is used in refrigerators and freezers. This shelf spacer attaches to wire shelves in the refrigerator and freezer to hold them in place. If the shelf spacer is lost or damaged, the shelf will not stay in place. The spacer should be replaced.Refrigerator shelves must be sturdy to hold the weight of the food stored inside. If the shelf spacer is missing, the stability of the shelf is compromised. This part snaps onto the wire shelf and prevents it from moving around. This keeps the food inside the refrigerator from causing the shelf to fall. No tools are needed to install this part. If the shelf spacer is missing, do not store food on the shelf until it is installed. This shelf spacer is a white plastic part that is sold individually. It is designed for use in refrigerators manufactured by Kenmore, Frigidaire, Westinghouse, and Gibson.

The back wall of my freezer was frozen but working and the bottom or fridge section was not cold Paula S. • St. Louis , MO • July 09, 2017
Well my reliable handyman brother told me he fixed his fridge, as he had same problem. Freezer working but fridge warm. He suggested I order Defrost Heater Kit. I looked it up on your website and found part but noticed Defrost Thermostat as well. So I ordered both. Anyhow he installed the thermostat only. Fridge is cooling. We did not install Defrost Heater Kit. Gonna see if we even need to? So far so good with just the thermostat. We'll be watching to see if back wall freezes up again.

It stopped cooling/freezing then started again a day later. Dale M. • Maplewood , MN • July 21, 2022
Profess: I have known for years that this model does not have the heater circuits that allows it to run in a cold room/garage. To solve this problem, I usually stuck a hair dryer on medium under the front lip to blow warm enough air back to the compressor area. Not finding hair dryers at Goodwill, I stuck a heat gun under there. No problems last year, but this year it stopped and I went to the back area to examine it. I found the heat gun had taken its toll on the plastic shroud and fan blade,...
