This nut anchor secures the appliance control box to the cabinet, keeping the control module mounted and stable for reliable operation. Replacement restores proper fastening when the original anchor is missing or damaged. What it does:
- Provides a captive fastening point for the control box or control board housing
- Holds the control assembly steady to prevent movement, vibration, or rattling
- Helps maintain proper alignment of electrical connections and wiring harnesses
- Used when the original anchor is stripped, cracked, or no longer grips the panel
What's included:
- One nut anchor for control box mounting
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid shock or injury
- Access the control box per your model's service instructions; remove panels carefully
- Press or fasten the nut anchor into the mounting hole until it seats; secure the control box with the appropriate screw
- If supply threads are damaged, replace any mating fasteners and fit snugly, but not over-tightened.

The Protector Cap is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is designed to shield and protect specific components within the refrigerator, such as the temperature sensor or wiring connections. This cap helps to ensure that these critical parts remain intact and functional, contributing to the overall efficiency and performance of the appliance.
A compromised protector cap can expose sensitive components to potential damage, leading to malfunctions and decreased refrigerator efficiency.
Symptoms of a bad protector cap include:
- Visible cracks or damage to the cap
- Loose or missing cap
- Exposed or damaged wiring or sensors
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

I wanted to replace the half shelf in my top freezer compartment with a full length shelf Marilynn B. • Lansing , MI • December 25, 2014
It was really easy. I found the part number using an online search, ordered the shelf and just inserted the ends into the holes in the freezer walls. Fortunately, I read on a question and answer forum that four end caps were also required. This detail was not listed in the shelf description so knowing this, I was able to order the caps along with the shelf and avoid having to place a second order once I got the shelf and discovered that I needed the end caps.

Freezer was running warm Walter R. • Pittsfield , ME • June 25, 2014
Freezer running warm (soft serve consistency ice cream). Set temp control to 9 (coldest setting) before compressor turned on. Figured it was the temp control.
Went to AppliancePartsPros.com and found my appliance. Problem was, the schematic didn't show the temp control and I couldn't find it on the parts list. Called the 800 # and a rep helped me not only find the right part, but she asked me questions about the appliance operation and what I did to determine the cause. Then she...
