The Lower Dishrack is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It provides a sturdy shelf for placing pots, pans, plates, and other dishware on the bottom level of the dishwasher interior. The lower dishrack supports dish loads, holding them securely in place during the wash cycles.
Causes of a failing lower dishrack include long-term wear and tear, corrosion from exposure to water and detergents, damage from improper loading, and loose or broken components.
Symptoms of a bad lower dishrack:
- Difficulty sliding the rack in and out
- The rack getting stuck mid-cycle
- Broken or missing wheels/rollers
- Rust formation
- Bent or misshapen wires
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Replaced the upper and lower racks. AppliancePartsPro shipped the racks fast and they are a perfect fit. I think they're even a better, stronger design then the factory originals.

Dishwasher timer went bad Jeff F. • Monticello , KY • September 23, 2025
Accidently threw away EVERYTING that was attached to the timer, but Appliance Parts Pros had what I needed, except the screws, but I was able to figure out what screws I needed.
Hardest part was figuring out where the off position was on the timer.

Soap door would not lock closed Mark F. • Laguna Woods , CA • September 18, 2017
This happened after a repair man came out and replaced the timer. Not my doing landlord had a service contract. Once inspected I found when the timer was swapped he did not swap the cam over. Ordered the correct parts and repaired myself. Hard to find good help anymore.
