This evaporator fan blade mounts on the freezer fan motor and circulates air across the evaporator coils. Replacing a cracked or warped blade restores proper airflow for even cooling and more consistent temperatures throughout the refrigerator.
- Moves chilled air from the evaporator through the ducts to both compartments
- Helps maintain uniform temperatures and overall cooling performance
- Common symptoms of a faulty blade: weak airflow, poor cooling or warm spots, rattling/scraping noises from the freezer, longer run times
- Visual signs include a cracked hub, loose fit on the shaft, or broken/missing vanes
What's included: 1 evaporator fan blade Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing
- Remove freezer shelves/ice bin and the rear panel to access the fan assembly
- Pull the old blade straight off the motor shaft; align the hub and press the new blade on until fully seated
- Verify blade orientation and free rotation inside the shroud before reassembly

Frigidaire refrigerator model FRS3HR5HMB5 having issues with ice buildup around the evaporator fan have had similar issue for three to four years Keith C. • Cypress , TX • November 12, 2018
Changed the Frigidaire Icemaker Fill Tube Part # 241796405 (AP5671747) about a week ago and so far the Frigidaire Refrigerator seems to work fine. Did not use other ordered parts. Recently ice formed around internal evaporator fan and it started making loud noise when then fan and compressor, etc were running. A long winded history noted below if interested:
I have been fighting with this Frigidaire Refrigerator for about 3 to 4 years, started out with the evaporator fan making noise when ice...

Ice maker would not exspell the ice after it was made. Leesinger K. • Jackson , WI • April 03, 2014
I found that the Ice Maker in my GE side by side made ice but would not kick out the ice when it had formed, the heating element or the switch that controls it didn't work. I ordered a new ice maker switched it out took less than 3 minutes. The cord was very stiff and just long enough but I got it to connect and in 35-40 minutes I had fresh ICE!!
