We replaced the main circuit board and the LED started to work and the condenser fan worked, but all we had were relay clicking sounds, but no cooling. I ordered a new switch from APP and fixed my fridge. However, the video posted for this repair on this site is not applicable to newer refrigerator models. I have a 2015 GE GTE18IHCRSS and had to drop the control housing (#432 in the diagram) to attach the wire/plug assembly to the switch. Only had to remove the front screw with a 1/4" nut driver and that provided enough of a gap for me to plug in the switch. I replaced the water inlet valve. The toughest part was closing off the feed line while I waited for the valve to be delivered. The needle valve used to install the feed line wouldn't close completely. I ended up fabricating a plug from some parts from the hardware store. The mounting bracket on the new valve was completely different from the original, but it still mounted easily enough. I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. I googled the issue and read several articles. Most started with cleaning the coils (which mine are on the bottom) (19yr old Kenmore 363.9557812). I had not really ever cleaned them well, vacuuming did little. I had to remove the cardboard cover off the back of the frig, and blew them clean (front to back). I used a set of ring pliers to remove the old retaining ring, then spread the plastic ribs around the fan motor shaft with a small flat bladed screwdriver to ease removal of the old fan blade. I reversed the process to replace the blade, gently tapping a socket from my socket wrench set placed over the motor shaft and ribs with a small rubber mallet. This is a 15 yr old Kenmore (GE) refrigerator with top mounted freezer... I knew, for awhile, that I had a DEFROST problem. I replace the water inlet valve in my refrigerator about 8 months ago. About a week ago, the old plastic water line broke. I forgot how the water line connector worked and broke the valve trying to pull it out. I got a new valve and replacement water line, and it went in easily, just like the video said.
