Leaks from around the door and from the pump motor Samuel M. • Sudbury , MA • January 12, 2016
1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive. The plastic edge pieces for the lower seal were supplied with the kit, and they installed...

This pump outlet directs drained water from the washer's pump housing into the drain hose, helping the appliance remove wastewater efficiently. Replacing a damaged outlet restores proper drainage and reduces leaks. What it does:
- Channels water from the pump to the drain hose to enable normal draining
- Seals the pump discharge to prevent leaks at the pump exit
- A cracked or clogged outlet can cause slow or no-drain symptoms, leaks under the washer, or water pooling
- Works with the pump assembly to maintain correct water flow during drain cycles
What's included:
- One pump outlet and the part shown as item 13 in the OEM diagram
Install notes:
- Disconnect power (unplug or switch off breaker) before beginning service
- Turn off and disconnect water lines if needed and place towels to catch residual water
- Inspect and replace any worn clamps, gaskets, or seals when installing the outlet
- Recheck connections and test a short drain cycle after installation to confirm no leaks

This O-ring is a small rubber replacement seal that helps stop water leaks where two components meet. It restores a tight seal to reduce drips and prevent water damage from worn or cracked seals. What it does:
- Provides a compression seal between mating parts to prevent leaks
- Commonly replaced when visible cracking, flattening, or hardening occurs
- Helps eliminate steady drips or pooling of water near the seal area
- Restores proper sealing after disassembly for service or part replacement
What's included: One O-ring seal Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Remove surrounding components carefully to avoid damaging the seal seat
- Inspect the mating surfaces for debris or damage; clean before installing new O-ring
- Lubricate with a compatible, appliance-safe lubricant; do not use petroleum-based products unless specified
