Turntable Shaft (Mh-8)
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 4370W3A001A

This turntable shaft (MH-8) connects the microwave's turntable motor to the glass tray hub so the tray spins for even heating. Replace it when the tray won't rotate, slips intermittently, or makes grinding/clicking noises.

  • Couples the turntable motor to the tray hub to drive rotation
  • Helps ensure even cooking and defrosting by keeping the tray moving
  • Typical symptoms: tray not turning, intermittent/jerky rotation, grinding or clicking from the cavity floor
  • Damage indicators: cracks, melted/rounded drive surfaces, or excessive wobble
What's included: 1 turntable shaft (MH-8) Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the microwave at the plug or breaker before servicing
  • Remove the glass tray and roller ring to access the shaft
  • Lift the old shaft straight up; if stuck, access the turntable motor from below to push it out
  • Align and press the new shaft fully onto the motor spindle; reassemble and test rotation

Lamp (Microwave Light Bulb)
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 6912W3B002E

This replacement microwave lamp restores the lighting you rely on to safely see food in the cavity or the cooktop below, depending on your model. Replace a burned-out bulb to bring back clear, convenient visibility while cooking.

  • Provides illumination for the microwave interior or the cooktop beneath an over-the-range unit
  • Common symptoms: light does not turn on with the door or during cooking
  • Other signs of failure: dim, flickering, or visibly blackened bulb
  • Restores visibility so you can monitor food and your workspace
What's included: 1 lamp Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before servicing
  • Allow the area to cool; access location varies by model
  • Handle capsule-style bulbs with gloves or a clean tissue; oils from skin can shorten bulb life
  • Use only the lamp type and wattage specified for your model in the user manual or on the rating label

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Burnt out Kenmore microwave light.   Timothy E. • Wilmington , DE • May 11, 2018

Pretty easy fix. Took out 7-8 screws to remove cover for access to light. 2 were security type screws so I had to run to the hardware store to buy a special screwdriver. One screw to remove the bulb. Read more

Screw, Tap-Tite (Binding Head)
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 1SBF0402418

A Tap-Tite binding-head screw used to fasten appliance panels and components where a self-tapping metal thread is required. Replaces missing or damaged fasteners to restore secure assembly and reduce vibration or rattling. What it does:

  • Creates its own mating thread in thin sheet metal for a secure hold without a nut.
  • Holds panels, brackets, and trim in place to prevent looseness or movement.
  • Commonly used where stripped, missing, or broken screws cause rattling, misalignment, or parts that won't stay attached.
  • Compatible with standard screwdrivers or nut drivers sized to the binding-head.
What's included: One Tap-Tite binding-head screw Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and unplug the appliance before working on it.
  • Use the correct driver bit to avoid cam-out or head damage.
  • Start straight and apply steady pressure; avoid overtightening to prevent stripping the formed threads.
  • If the original hole is badly damaged, assess for repair or use of a larger fastener as needed.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud while heating   Rick D. • Westville , IN • May 08, 2017

Checked Magnetron, capacitor, and diode. All checked ok. Magnetron was very low resistance across connections and infinite to ground. Cap checked out at 1uF and diode was checked with a 9V battery and checked out ok with a 3V voltage drop. Ran microwave with cover off and noise seemed to be coming from the high voltage transformer. Replaced transformer. All good. Read more
