We are very inexperienced appliance repair people. Thus check it out first to see if we can fixit...successs. First checked to be sure it wasn't the actual switch. I decided to change out the left side element and switch. The parts received from AppliancePartsPros cross-referenced perfectly to the OEM model numbers and appeared to be exact duplicates. SAFETY ALERT: Must shut off the power! The install required an electrical skill set, but for the most part, the average handyman can snap a couple of pictures or create a color scheme wire chart to ensure the female spade are landed in the proper locations; 15 to be exact. Changing out the stovetop orifices from natural gas to propane- First thing, turn off the gas. On this model stove, there are five burners-two burners in the front, two in the back and one in the middle. The front two burners are different than the other three, they are the largest burners. You can use a 11/32 socket with an extension to go down the middle hole of the burner and screw-out the natural gas orifices. Taking the orifices out was easy. Had an appliance repair person come in and after he tested it, he said the element was fine and that it is probably the control switch panel. A hundred dollars later, issue was not resolved.
