Additionally, the switch discontinues the electrical flow to the spark flow that ignites the engine upon removing the key from the ignition.The switch might have to be replaced if there is damage that prevents it from operating as usual. Symptoms of a malfunctioning or broken switch can include an engine that continues to run while the key is not actively in the ignition or an engine that is not properly ignited when the key is inserted in the ignition. If the switch is subject to damage that results in either of these symptoms, the switch should be immediately removed and replaced, and the snowblower should not be used again until a new switch has been installed.
