I watched the appliancepartspros.com video to make sure I had identified the right part before I ordered it. After receiving the part, it was easy — the part itself twisted off without tools (pliers were helpful to remove and reattach the drain hose), and I was able to complete the repair without pulling the dishwasher out from under the counter. Ordered the part paid the extra 6-7 bucks to get it in 2 days. Once I received it it came in a box with bubble wrap around it not oem wrap. It took about 20 minutes to install and I've run it once so far no issues. Read more

Ordered a new pump and installed, took about 15 min. Reinstalled the dishwasher and tested still not draining. Disassembled and checked for pump power and found no problem. Removed drain hose from pump housing and found a blockage cleaned out blockage and hooked up the shop vac to drain hose under sink and made sure it was clean. Reassemble and reinstall with old pump, works great! Guess I now have a spare pump in stock. Read more

Turned my washer over and the pump was right there at the bottom didnt even need any tools, it had a kids sock stuck in it, I could not unjam it so I got this new pump, you just take the old one out and put the new one in Read more

Removed the 4 Torx (T-20) screws to remove the bottom tray, loosened the 2 steel adjustable hose clamps and disconnected the hoses from the old pump. Removed the 2 Torx screws from the drain pump mounting bracket and the 2 that mount the pump to the bracket. Discarded the old pump, reversed the above process for installating the new pump and the dishwasher is functioning normally again. All in well under 30 mins. Read more

Upon opening the front cover of my GE washing machine, I found the water pump/brake was not spinning as it should when the drain/spin cycle was starting. I suspected that the pump/brake was the cause of the problem. I tried to turn the flywheel of the pump by hand and found it tight and somewhat difficult to turn. At first, I felt there was a problem with the drain hose. Possibly water would not completely drain out due to a poor routing of the drain hose. It seemed fine - I ensured that I had a 32-ince rise and then a good down hill route to the drain. My drain hose does not drain into the garbage disposal. Told him I have electrical engineering experience, used to fix pinball machines and that the pinballs and home appliances were the same design, i.e. inductor in series with a switch across the hot lines. The dishwasher would fill with water, and then was silent (during the time you'd expect to hear it washing. Cancel/draining worked fine too. I assumed it was the pump/motor that had failed.
