The Door Seal is an OEM part for Bosch front load washers, designed to ensure a watertight seal between the door and the drum. This part prevents water from leaking out during the wash cycle, maintaining the efficiency and safety of your appliance.

Over time, the constant exposure to water and detergent, along with the physical stress of laundry loads, can cause the door seal to degrade.

Symptoms of a bad Door Seal include:

  • Visible signs of wear, such as cracks, holes, or tears, which can lead to water leaks.
  • Mold or mildew buildup, resulting from trapped moisture and detergent residue, which can cause unpleasant odors and potential health issues.
  • The door struggling to close properly or water leakage during the wash cycle, indicating a seal that has lost its elasticity or is otherwise damaged.

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Bruce, The manufacturer has revised the door boot/seal. The correct part to order is dependant on the FD serial number of the serial plate inside the door. If the FD number starts with FD8710 & later, use gasket no. 667487. Use door gasket kit no. 667489 for serial numbers FD8505 thru FD8709. Use door gasket part no. 445193 for numbers FD8502 thru FD8504. and 436459 w/flushing hose nipple for serial number FD8501 and earlier models . As for the door boot spring clamp(s), as long as they aren't rusted, and you don't damage break or kink the "wire rings", you shouldn't need the clamps, but the part numbers are [ 00648264] and [00644646] in case they get damaged or you decide to replace them. Thanks,

Hello Cie, 00354135 is the door boot recommended by Bosch. The differences in the door boots that we refer to are that some have a drain in the bottom and some do not. The model number does not always denote this difference so we normally ask the customer is the drain is present in their model. These door boots are made by Bosch. We get these directly from Bosch and we are not aware of the "compatible ones". The packaging will normally have the Bosch name on it.
