Sue July 26, 2020 for Model Number SHSM63W56N/10 FD980200222 I have a Bosch dishwasher, I just put lime away instead of Rinse Agent in the rinse aid compartment, Is there a way for me to drain that out, so I can add the proper rinse aid?
1 Answer Sue, Sorry to be a deliverer of bad news. Unfortunately, I have to advise you to replace the dispenser entirely. I would be concerned about the health and safety effects of the chemicals mixing, as well as the lime away being deposited on the dishes during future cycles. Here is a link to the dispenser for the model you proved: https://www.appliancepartspros.com/bosch-dispenser-12008380-ap5984937.html Read More...
Lisa June 30, 2020 for Model Number SHE53TF2UC/01 I have had this dishwasher for over ten years, and the finishing rinse door stays closed, but lately I have noticed that I have to add it more often. My biggest concern is that I am finding a sticky residue left on my dishes, usually at the lowest point on the dish where a final drip would be found. What is the problem, what is causing the stickiness on my dishes?
1 Answer Lisa, It is possible that the dispenser has been adjusted for the most rinse aid. Should be three or four settings under the door. Number 1 or all the way left is the lowest setting. You can also clean the unit with affresh dishwasher cleaner Read More...
Patricia June 11, 2020 for Model Number SHE5AM02UC/01 Hi, lately the dishwasher runs out of rinse agent after one week. We use the machine once a day. Is this normal? Or can I do something to fix it? Model number is SHE5AM02UC/01. Patricia
1 Answer Patricia, For this issue, It sounds likely that the rinse aid dispenser may be leaking and would require a new dispenser if this is the case. Read More...
Melanie October 16, 2019 for Model Number Bosch SHX68T55UC/02 When I try to fill the rinse aid reservoir it leaks out the base of the unit and runs down the inside of the dishwasher door. Does this mean I need to replace the entire unit (detergent/rinse aid combo) or could this just be a gasket problem?
1 Answer Melanie, Make sure as you fill you remove the plug and do not fill into the vent hole. Other than that the dispenser would need to be replaced. And the plug is where you adjust the amount of rinse aid that is dispensed. Read More...
Socsci October 05, 2019 for Model Number SHE3AR72UC We just bought this Bosch dishwasher. I think I poured in too much rinse dispenser and mixed brands. Is that a problem? What do I do? Initially (Cascade brand) we spilled a lot around the dispenser but some went in and a lot rolled down the door. Tried again with some Jet dry and was more accurate -- but the fill well kept looking full, then the level dropped, and this kept repeating (with no obvious spillage out the bottom) until there WAS some spillage out the bottom. At that point I stopped filling -- even though the rinse aid was not up to the "full" line in the fill well.
1 Answer Socsci, Overfilling the reservoir will not cause an issue and it may drop quickly once some of the rinse aid has run out. There is no issue putting 2 different types of rinse aids in the unit. Fill the rinse aid once it is empty. Read More...
Linda July 29, 2019 for Model Number BOSCH Dishwasher SHE44C06UC/48 My rinse aid seems to run out quickly, and often the lid of the rinse aid compartment is open after a cycle is completed. Should a new rinse aid door fix the problem?
1 Answer Hello Linda, you would need the complete dispenser assembly at this point, it is part number 00490467. Read More...
John W July 28, 2019 for Model Number SHE58C05UC THE DISPENSER LID I NEED TO REPLACE DOES NOT HAVE THE SMALL HOLE BETWEEN THE SLOTS ON THE SIDES OF THE LID. IT HAS A CIRCLE THAT IS SOLID LIKE THE REST OF THE LID. WILL THE LID WITH THE HOLE (PART # 00166623) FIT MY MACHINE?
1 Answer John W, The hole is the sight hole for the rinse aid side. The detergent side is a solid panel. For all versions of this model that is the replacement part. I have not found any literature saying you would need to update the entire dispenser. So as far as we can tell this part will fit Read More...
