Brian Hamilton May 01, 2018 for Model Number RDFS30QB When you put oven on bake @350 , broiler comes on
2 Answers Brian, You didn't mention any error codes ? But, your post information would indicate you need to test or replace the oven temperature sensor 00414152 / 14-33-730 sensor It may be out of calibration and/or the ERC 486752 / 35-00-571 ERCIII , has a shorted circuit and is causing the broil element to energize in the bake mode. Unfortunately neither part is available from the manufacturer. We can no longer get it from any of our suppliers. There is no substitute for the part available to us. We don't know of any other source for the part. you may want to try contacting local parts dealers, one of them might still have it in stock. Enter your part number in a search engine, a smaller company might have it ? Try eBay, Amazon or similar sites. Search by using the manufacturers part number(s). Try a used appliance store, sometimes they have the same model or useable part for your machine. Cmcgarry April 03, 2018 for Model Number PRG304US I have the front burner that seems to light fine and then after a few minutes or so it goes out and won't come back on until it either cools down or a period of time has gone by. Is this related to the solenoid? If not, any thoughts on what part I need to remedy this issue? This issue seemed to come up after a fair amount of water boiled over in a pot on this burner a few months back and has never gone away since. I have checked all orifices and even swapped out the burner top cap from one of the other burners to confirm it wasn't the orifices.
1 Answer Hello CMcGarry. It sounds like the burner and orifice needs to be taken apart and cleaned out really well. The spill over could have blocked or clogged the unit. Read More...
Love My Thermador February 05, 2018 for Model Number Thermador 48-in PCS494GGUU (purchased 2001) Have an 2001 Thermador PCS484GGUU. Two right-sided burners work great. Problem with OX--front L lights only with a match; back left won't light (no gas) or spark. Replaced the potentiometers and the simmer control module. Back left now sparks, but still no gas to back burner and several hour after replacing the simmer control module, all four burners started sparking when the all knobs were turned off. Do I need a new spark module? Perhaps a selonoid? Any input would be most appreciated. Thanks!
1 Answer Love my thermador, For this issue the spark module would be an issue and for the left rear not working will need a solenoid for the burner. Read More...
Richard February 02, 2018 for Model Number PG366BS/02 Our burners have begun to ignite very slowly. Each of the 6 burners acts the same. The ignitor sparks and if we turn it off and on a few times they will light. The oven ignites perfectly. Is it a solenoid?
1 Answer Hello Richard, You should first clear all of the orifices with a small paper clip or safety pin. The next check is for a good ground to the surface burner areas since this is necessary for a good blue to white spark. The issue will not be a gas solenoid since one solenoid controls two burners, (front and rear respectively). This could be caused by a spark module issue 00753257. Read More...

D Lee February 28, 2017 for Model Number SGCS365RW The center rear burner with "extra low feature" initially intermittently went off, but now, no longer lights. The framing is totally clean, good spark on ignition, but no gas. What part do I need? I have read suggestions for new solenoid, "simmer controller", or potentionmeter (which I don't think I need). Appreciate any help.
1 Answer D. Lee, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty solenoid not allowing gas to pass through. Read More...

Margaret August 30, 2016 for Model Number SGCS304RS The RF Extra-low burner wasn't lighting. Tech initially replaced the gas valve solenoid, but took it out & reinstalled old one when burner still not working. Installed a new potentiometer & RF burner now lights. But, after repair RF & RR burner flames are way too high...about 1.5" on low setting & much higher than those on left. Tech has not been able to adjust the valves. Could solenoid have been damaged during reinstall? Suggestions for adjusting flames to normal? Thank you!
1 Answer Margaret, In the center of the gas valve there is a flame adjustment screw. You will want to try to adjust using this and if it does not correct then the issue will most likely be the valves not the solenoids. Read More...
