Todd May 29, 2014 for Model Number SHY66CO5UC/14 FD85010127 I just ordered a detergent assembly for my Bosch dishwasher. When I took the door panels apart to access the assembly, I didn't realize I could take off just one panel and ended up removing the screws that mount the door to the spring loaded hinges. My issue now is reattaching the door panel to the spring loaded hinges. I anticipate it is going to be difficult under the strain of the springs. Can you suggest the best way to reattach the door panel? Perhaps disengage the spring tension on the hinges from underneath and then reattach after the door panel is reattached? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
1 Answer Hello Todd, The easiest way I have found to do this is by using Romex style wiring, (same as home wiring) with no insulation to tie the hinges down while I attach the door panel to the hinges. You can use this method to get the screws started without tightening them down. Clip off the wires and pull them clear of the assembly and tighten them down. These copper wires are strong enough to hold the springs down to get the screws started, is flexible enough to work with easily, and is easily removed by clipping off with wire cutters. This makes it the easiest way to get the panel attached to the door panel without pulling the unit from its' installed position. Read More...
John W March 19, 2014 Hello, I have a Bosch dishwasher with this dispenser and I think it's defective. In the manual it says to release the dispenser to fill with the door upright, to push the blue button on the hinge. On mine, the dispenser is always hinged out when open. Looking at the picture, it appears that when the dispenser opens, the inner compartment should remain flat instead of popping out. I think this might be why my soap doesn't dissolve. It's always been this way but I have always used the tablets and placed them in the bottom, now I'm trying to use powder. Can you tell me if mine appears to be broken?
1 Answer John, If the dispenser lid is flapping out then yes it would need to be replaced and would be the cause of the soap not dissolving. Read More...
Carriel November 11, 2013 Hi, I just received this replacement part in the mail. Now I am wondering how to install it as it did not come with directions. Is it just as easy as popping out the old one and popping in this one? Or do I need to actually remove the stainless steel interior casing on the door? Should I call a professional or do it myself? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Carriel. Just remove the door panel and install the part into the panel. Very easy to replace. Make sure power is off to the unit. Read More...
Mark September 20, 2013 for Model Number bosh SHX06UC/14 Soap dispenser does not open during wash cycle, but everything else looks ok. I dont have test equiment for voltage. Would it most likely be that the dispenser unit needs to be replaced?
1 Answer Mark, Most likely the detergent dispenser would be causing the issue of the door not opening but there is a possibility that the control board may not be sending the message to open. It is always best to test the product to determine failure. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Joe, The soap dispenser is the most obvious cause of this failure but, the control can also cause the issue. You can test at the dispenser for 120Vac. If the voltage isn't sent there, the board is the obvious issue. Read More...
Prentice April 13, 2013 for Model Number SHU66C05 UC/14 (FD8302) I can't get a confirmation on the soap dispenser for this model . It certainly looks like the AP2834000 (431413). I know it's bad I show 600K ohms on the rectifier ahead of the solenoid coil.
Jim January 24, 2013 for Model Number SHX56B06 My soap dispenser does not operate - the door doesn't open during the wash cycle. It's mentioned to measure the voltage to the unit, but I don't see what the reading should be (AC or DC, 5v, 12v?). I also need to know if it is a momentary reading, or if it comes on and stays on for the remainder of the wash, or just that cycle? Finally, which of the two yellow wires should be measured? Is one hot and the other ground? Looking at the circuit diagram, it looks like they're both hot. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Jim, Checked out the wiring information on this unit but it does not state what the voltage should be. It also states that you cannot check resistance on the dispenser sensors. You will want to start on an AC voltage and check across the 2 yellow wires when the unit calls for dispenser to open. If you do not get voltage reading then switch to DC voltage. Read More...
Rob July 06, 2012 for Model Number Shx56b05uc/14 My rinse aid dispenser lid won't stay closed. The latch to keep it closed won't engage. Do I have to get the whole dispenser or just the rinse aid door kit? If just the kit how do I get access to replace it?
1 Answer Hello Rob. You should be able to replace the dispenser door kit 00431413. Connect spring to door & dispenser housing posts. While keeping spring attached to posts, carefully slide door onto housing --making sure door tabs engage dispenser door rails. Door levers don’t need to be preset during installation. Read More...
Bob G May 15, 2012 for Model Number SHX99A32 I too have a soap dispenser that won't open. Your answer to Tark was very helpful. You say to take voltage reading but that the washer has to be running when you do this. But how do you run the washer when you've disassembled the door?
1 Answer Hello Bob. You just remove the front cover off the door, not the control panel. Then you can run and test it. Read More...
Paul February 13, 2012 for Model Number SHV66 Rinse aid dispenser stopped dispensing and dishes are wet. Tried vinegar in dispenser but didn't work. Which parts do I need to get the rinse aid flowing again? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Paul. If there is power coming to the dispenser, and the dispenser does not work, you will need to replace the dispenser 00431413 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
