Paul H. September 14, 2011 for Model Number smu4052uc/09 I was given this dishwasher as being in working order. We installed it at my son-in-law's cottage after sitting in my garage for the winter. It doesn't fill with water. I removed the water valve, connected it to the water line and connected the electrical connections to the solenoid, and placed it in a dishpan. Very little water goes thru the valve with neither outlet hoses connected. I suspect the valve, but hate to buy a valve and then find some other reason it doesn't fill with water. Is the water inlet valve (ap2802210) likely to cause this problem?
1 Answer Hello Paul. You will need to test and see if there is power going to the water valve 00092188. If so, you will need to replace the water valve assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Norman C. August 14, 2011 for Model Number Bosch SMU 4052 UC How do you remove the water inlet valve?
1 Answer Hi Norman. You will need a T-20 torx screwdriver to remove the toe kick panel. Remove insulation. Without disconnecting, move the sump hose away from the valve. Disconnect the wires(including the ground). Remove the T-20 screws holding the water valve. pull the valve out and disconnect the hose. Remove all the drained water from the base of the pan. Use Teflon tape and do not over tighten the water lines. The part # is 00092188. Thank you. Read More...
