Bob April 19, 2015 for Model Number Edge water - BWC 120 SS Start relay bad. Original is QP2.4.7. It is a 2 pin relay, white and blue wires. Lots of relays with that # out there, but many show a single pin. What do you carry that fits the bill?

Chuck J June 10, 2014 Does a bad start PTC make a loud click shortly after the compressor stops? Could it be the ptc in the relay clicking/moving?
1 Answer Hello Chuck. No, that is the overload clicking. It could be a bad starter causing the issue. Here is a link to our Repair Forum, this is a free service to our customers. Larry A. August 07, 2012 I purchased a PTC starter which has three terminals to replace my one terminal part. Does this three terminal starter include the overload protector? The overload protector is a separate component on my fridge. Can you provide instructions to convert the fridge from a one terminal starter to a three terminal starter. Thanks, Larry
1 Answer Hello Larry, This is a relay only. The overload is separate from this part. This relay has three terminals to accommodate the installation of a capacitor. Whether a capacitor is used or not, you will plug the single wire to terminal number 2. This should be the terminal directly across from terminal 4. The capacitor, (when required by the manufacturer), would plug in with one wire on terminal 1 and the other wire on terminal 3. A capacitor is only used for a compressor that comes with the capacitor. I tell you this to prevent you from installing a capacitor on a compressor that doesn't call for it. If you use a capacitor on a compressor that isn't supposed to have one, the windings in the compressor will burn out prematurely. Read More...
Raymond J. August 12, 2011 for Model Number Magic Chef Refrig 9H72 Model MC BR 1020W I ordered 2, of QP2-2.47 small black 3 metal clip switch, my old one is burnt and rattles, the new one is identical but only has one metal clip, I don't think it's going to work, I disconnected 3 wires the new unit has 1 clip which wire gets connected what about the other 2 wires? What do you recommend? Thank you Raymond
1 Answer Hello Raymond. The model number you provided is not working. It sounds like the part you ordered is wrong. You will need the 3 terminal relay. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
