The Dispenser Lever is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire refrigerators. This lever is a critical component of the refrigerator's water and ice dispenser system, located on the unit's exterior. It is designed to engage the dispenser when pressed, allowing for the seamless release of ice or water.

Causes of a malfunctioning Dispenser Lever can include physical damage from impact, normal wear, and tear from repeated use, or a failure in the spring mechanism that could prevent it from returning to its off position. Maintaining this part in good working order is essential for its convenience.

Symptoms of a bad Dispenser Lever include:

  • The dispenser fails to activate when the lever is pressed.
  • The lever sticks in the pressed position or doesn't spring back.
  • Difficulty in pressing the lever or it feels loose.

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

If all's Ok, then you'll want to check and replace the water inlet valve 242252702 / 241734301 Valve-Water, triple solenoid on the back side of the refrigerator inside the compressor compartment. You cant clean or replace the debris screen without dismantling the fill valve and opening the possibility of a leak and damage to the floor/wall, etc.
