Brian A. C September 06, 2013 for Model Number 417.99570150 Serial # XE81990475 MY agitator does not have the bleach dispenser on the top. It does have one small cap on top the simply screws off. The agitator then has a small nut that is even with the top of the plastic agitator. You can not remove the nut directly and it probably is left treaded. The thing I am concrned about is on the between the agitator fins about 1/3 of the way up is a small hole for access with a small allen wrench I believe. I need to know what to do to remove this agitator. My repair manual show an agitator with the bleach dispenser on the top and not the side of the appliance. Please help
1 Answer Brian, This agitator has a double ended stud. The screw that the cap came off on screws down into the top of the agitator shaft to hold the agitator in place. If the nut is still on the agitator side you will want to remove this to take the agitator off. if there is not a stud for the cap to screw onto then you will want to look inside the cap to see if it broke off.
