Shelly June 15, 2013 for Model Number FEX831CS0 We received the agitator we ordered. It appears to be missing the part inside the top, where the drive shaft would connect.. which happens to be the part that is cracked on the old agitator. that part does not show up on the mech. drawings. Did I get an incomplete part? Thanks! Shelly
1 Answer Shelly, It sounds like you may be referring to the hub 134418700 which has splines that the agitator sits on. Read More...
Mark March 31, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire fex831fs0 The agitator in my washing machine is broken, plastic from one of the fins broke off. The agitator listed (AP2131582) does appear to be the part I need replaced. But with the dryer on top of the unit, I don't see how I can get the current agitator out to replace it. The cap unscrews and the agitator lifts up, but I can't fit it out of the available space between washer lid and tub. How can I replace this part?
1 Answer Hello Mark. Once you lift the agitator upward, you will pull the top toward you, and grasp the bottom of the agitator. Then you will pull the agitator out of the hole. These are tight, but can be removed from the unit. Read More...
Katie S. December 13, 2012 for Model Number FWX233RES1 I need to replace the agitator on my washing machine. It is cracked below the cap and above the "fins," causing the machine to no longer agitate. I'm looking at this part: 3204401 (AP2131582). What are the dimensions so I can be 100% sure I'm ordering the correct part? Thanks!

Andy B. June 16, 2012 for Model Number FWX233NBS0 I am trying to get the agitator off, after removing the cap. I tried tapping the agitator with a rubber mallet as was suggested in a posted answer, but it wouldn't break free. It appears that the plastic is being held by the nut part of the stud in the transmission. Any further suggestions for removing the agitator would be appreciated. Thanks
1 Answer Hi Andy. Yes the nut is either size 1/2" or a 5/8 long socket is needed with a long 3/8" extension. Then the agitator part # 3204401 should pull up and off. Thank you. Read More...
Sandy April 23, 2012 for Model Number GWX433RH51 I see the plastic agitator that goes to this washer has a small hole in it..near the bottom you actually have to blow this image up to a large scale to see the hole. Well this hole has started producing bubbles... and I was just wondering if this is a sign that something is not right with this machine or does this mean that it could be leaking?
1 Answer Hello Sandy. You will need to check and see if there is water leaking inside the unit. If not, it could just be air trapped under the agitator 3204401 and it will be fine. Read More...
Tazzer1370 March 05, 2012 for Model Number FWX233RES1 ---- 10/97 I know the tub is not supposed to spin in the wash cycle. What I would like to find out is how to make it quit. It used to be very forceful to stop it from following the cycle, so I took it apart to the inner basket and cleaned everything, put it back together. Now it doesn't take as much force to hold it and now I have a leak dripping down to the motor area. I didn't touch a seal or anything that looked like one.Does the silver bar on the trunion have anything to do with it ? Everything else works but this. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tazzer1370. It sounds like the trunnion and the plate 137107000 is not installed properly, and the tub assembly is loose. Feel of the inner basket. If it feels loose, you will need to check and make sure you installed the parts correctly. Hope this helps. Read More...

Doug October 02, 2011 for Model Number AW300KD1 will spin but not agitate. Can't figure out how to get the agitator off. The nut holding it on is flush with top of agitator and I don't see a cap to pry loose to gain access. Is the agitator belt driven?
1 Answer Hi Doug. The washer drive belt is part #134511600. The agitator is part # 3204401. Remove the belt, Test the motor to see if it will run in both directions on agitation ans spin. If not then you will need to mke sure the timer is giving the motor 120vac in both commands. The motor part # is 3205647. The belt is part # 134511600. Remove the Top tub cover (unclip) and use a flashlight to see if there is any balled up clothes stopping the tub. You can also push down hard on the fabric softner cup and while in agitation, see if the transmission gears are noisey and stripping. Transmission part # is 134735700. Use a rubber mallot to tap on the agitator to lift it off the shaft. There is trunion /plate assy under the inner tub that breaks a bolt and needs replaced. Part # is 131545101. The plate is part # 137107000. The bolt is part # 137539500. Thank You. Read More...
