Nana, You will want to access the control board and test from L2 to Bake with the unit set for bake. If there is 240 vac then the control board is faulty and would need to be replaced.

Bear, The oven temperature sensor 316233903 should have a resistance of less than 1100 ohms at room temperature, and it's best to test the resistance at the connector on the ERC/Control board, that way you test the complete circuit wiring and all. Would expect a failure/error code if the sensor were at fault. Since it seems you have voltage at the clock, you'll need to check voltage at the element(s) Remove power, disconnect both wires from the element, restore power, program a bake mode and temperature, then check the end of each wire terminal to chassis ground, you should have 120 VAC , on each check. The wire without the voltage is the circuit and wire to check back to the control. With both elements inoperable, it's most likely an L2 power supply or relay that is not closed and supplying power to one side of the elements. These are live voltage checks, so be careful.

Hello, I have Frigidaire electric range and was wondering if anyone has any idea what might be the solution to my problem. The surface works fine as well as the digital display. The problem is with the oven. There are metal coils on the bottom and top that usually glow red and heat the oven when in use, however they no longer work. No matter what setting I attempt to set, they just do not work. I am quite handy with household repairs, but would like some insight before I pull the oven out and take it apart. Thank you in advance!

Hello Virgil, You will need to check wiring from the L2 supply at the terminal block to the element and from element to the control board for possible damaged wires. If you have a multimeter you can do a continuity check on the wires to make sure that they have continuity. If they do not have continuity then there is a problem with wire.

Hello Brenda. The clock has the relay which sends power to the element made onto it. If you have to kill the power to turn off the element, it is not the element, but the clock that is bad on the unit. You will need to replace the clock to repair the unit.

The EOC arcked open on our oven. The leads on the circuit board are completely burnt off. Prior to replacing the EOC I would like to know if a bad element could cause problem. I really don't want to plug in a new EOC and have it go up in a flash as soon as power is applied. I put an ohn meter across each disconnected element an got 13.6 ohms for the broiler element and 15.7 ohms for the baking element. I would like to know if these are the normal values before I proceed. Thanks!

Hello Jim. Based on the readings you got, the elements should be good in the unit. It sounds like the EOC 316207529 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.

Hello Diane! Your bake element is 316202200. It looks like this part plugs into the terminal in the back wall of the oven. Remove power to the range. Unplug the old element and remove any wires and then install the new element and wiring. Supply power back to the range and test. Hope this helps!
