Nick February 06, 2022 for Model Number Frigidaire FEF336ECJ Oven elements are not working. I tested the elements both have 19 ohms. Tested the bake element circuit with the oven set to bake. I only get 120volts. With it set to broil I only get 4 volts to the broil element. What could be the problem?
1 Answer Nick, as the elements tested properly, the failure would be in the oven control 5304518660 if there is not a broken wire. Read More...
Melvin May 11, 2020 for Model Number FGEF3059TFD This stove has a very peculiar problem. Everything seems to be working properly, but the things that are inside the oven bakes unevenly. The lady who was testing the oven put several cookies in different positions inside the oven at the same time. some burnt and some were not cooked properly. Seems that the broil heating element is stronger than the bake element. Is there a possibility that the control board is failing because the time that the bake element is heating is not enough, or that the bake element is not heating enough, even is working? She tested the convection option as the normal bake option, and the problem is the same. Uneven cooking inside the oven. Thank you very much.
1 Answer Melvin, the bake element 316505500 can certainly cause this issue if it is not able to heat. The bake element can be tested for resistance (with the range power cord unplugged) and it should measure 19.2O. If the bake element tests properly, the next step would be to test the temperature sensor 316490000 for around 1100O at room temperature. If the element and the sensor both test good, then the likely failure would be in the main control 5304509229. Read More...
Brendan April 08, 2019 for Model Number CGEF3077KBE My baking element is not working though it has resistance when checked with an ohm meter. What is the next likely culprit that would keep it from receiving power?
1 Answer Brendan, you will want to check the voltage going to the bake element. If you test both connection points of the bake element together with bake turned on, you should get a reading of 240VAC. If you are not getting that voltage, then you have a bad control [316562015]. If you do have 240VAC going to the bake element, then the element [316563600] is bad. Read More...

Chrysta January 23, 2018 for Model Number 790.99112301 My stove top works fine. The bottom and broil element are not heating. The convention part turns on but does not heat. Will replacing the elements be the fix or should I just call Sears repair center?
1 Answer Chrysta, With both the bake and broil not working then this will most likely be a faulty relay control board that would need replaced. The part number for the control board is 316272401. Read More...
Sanjay December 07, 2016 My bake element is not heating ...on measuring it was found that between each bake element and ground i am getting 120v, but between two elements it is not showing any voltage.Resistance of element is around 27ohms.Pl suggest?
1 Answer Sanjay, When testing for voltage to the element you need to test with one of the wires disconnected. You will test the loose wire with the unit turned to bake and see if there is 120 vac to ground and then test the element terminal that you took the wire off of to ground. At each of these points there should be 120 vac. If there is not on one of them then trace back to its origin and that will be what the issue with the unit is. Read More...

Melissa October 10, 2015 for Model Number FEFL77ABG The front right expandable element burner does not work. I assume we need to replace the element. How do we open the top to access that? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Melissa, Unplug the unit from the power supply and remove the screws found along the top edge, (accessible with the door open only). This will allow you to raise the top enough to change the element. Read More...
Robert April 26, 2014 for Model Number glef378og Oven element or broil element do not work. Broil element works when turned to broil.
1 Answer Robert, You will want to check the bake element to make sure that the element has continuity and is good. If the bake element is visually burnt out or does not have continuity then it would need to be replaced. If the bake element 316202200 checks ok then the most likely issue will be a faulty control board 316207527. Read More...
Scott November 17, 2013 for Model Number GLEF378CSF Oven and Broiler both stopped working . cook top part works fine
1 Answer Scott, With both oven and broiler not working the most likely cause would be from a faulty control board. Read More...
