Jacqueline March 14, 2020 for Model Number FFSC2323LPBA New water filter won't lock back into space. Tried putting the old one back in to check and it too won't lock back in. Also tried various adjustments to the area on the filter where the "teeth" slide back and forth and that also didn't work. Is there anyting else I can try or is replacing this part the answer? Seems most issues/questions I've found online have to do with either leaking or filter being stuck in place. Thanks in advance!

1 Answer Daniel, it is possible that the filter base 242009604 is seized up. If the water is turned off to the refrigerator, and the water dispenser activated to relieve pressure, this may allow for the filter to be moved. If not and it is completely seized in, the housing should be able to be removed with the filter still in place as it is held in by tabs connecting to the refrigerator liner. Once the filter is removed, the water filter cover will need to be removed by moving the plate on the left forward, and then releasing the locking tabs behind the plate directly connecting the housing to the cabin. Jim June 21, 2018 for Model Number ffhs2322mwc I have a Frigidaire side by side. The water drips from the water dispenser about a drop every 15-20 seconds or less, but over time it makes a mess. I changed the water valve assembly and the water line between the valve all the way up through the door. no change. I noticed there is a humming / vibrating sound coming from the water filter, when I dispense water. I had to replace one of the lines to the filter because it was leaking. I think I am running out of options. Any thoughts?

Blaine August 26, 2017 for Model Number DGHF2360PF1 I can not get the water dispenser or the ice machine to dispense. I changed the filter. Ed March 23, 2017 for Model Number kenmore Follow up on changing the filter base.I changed this part because of small ice cubes and low water dispenser pressure.Turns out that the mail water line tap to the water pipe feeding the fridge was full of deposts..I changed the tap valve and all good now.Ed.
