Billy D. June 21, 2016 for Model Number FGHB2844LF6 My dad and I were getting a SY CF code on the display. We replaced both main board and user interface board plugged it back in and now the display just flashes and beeps every few seconds. It is not running or anything.
1 Answer Hello Billy, This code is described on the tech sheet as a communication error. Check all connections to and between control boards. If the correct board was installed, you could have a wiring issue and/or a bad board, (new one or the one not replaced. THe most common issue is a poor connection and the harness to the door at the door hinge should be checked for damage/dis-coloration. Read More...
1 Answer Paula, The control board on this unit would be located in the refrigerator section on the upper left side in the piece that runs from back to front. There will be a 1/4" hex head screw at the front and one at the rear that you will remove and then pull the assembly forward. It has 2 pegs holding it to the front assembly that will have to unclip and will seem like it will break but won't. Then remove 2 screws holding the control board in place and install the new one in its place. Read More...

Jonny C. February 15, 2016 for Model Number PHSC239DSB2 I have a 2004 model PHSC239DSB2 side by side counter depth. The entire water and ice dispenser mechanism went dead (i.e. - no lights no water or ice) I purchased a replacement board (5304433619) this did not work. I am afraid that there is another power supply feeding this that has gone bad. Where can I check and confirm voltages? From what I am reading it sounds like it could be the main control board (AP3683024) but the rest of my refrigerator is working fine? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Jonny, If the connections/harness at the door hinge are good the power supply on the main board 241511102 will have to be the issue. Read More...

Brian August 26, 2015 for Model Number GHSC239DWO Evaporator in a block of ice. Measured AC volts before switch on lt. Blue wire to brown wire after the defrost heater with the manual defrost on or off and had 1.3VAC. I believe this should be 120VAC. Am I correct in this assumption and do you have voltage test points for the sigma daco board (241511102) or what the voltages should be on the connectors?
1 Answer Hello Brain. Yes, heater voltage should be 120 VAC to the heater. You will need to test the board, heater, and thermostat. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
C-Lo August 03, 2015 for Model Number Frigidaire fghb2866pf The refrigerator setting is 33 degrees on the door, but the 2 thermometers I have inside are reading 46 degrees. The freezer door has a reading of 0 degrees, but when I restarted it showed 16 degrees. It then lowered the temperature to zero according to the door, but it also seems warm. Is it possible that the temperature sensors are bad?
1 Answer Hello C-LO, It is possible for the sensors 240597220 to be bad but both being bad is very remote. The more probable failure is the main control board 242115283. Read More...
