This is a Frigidaire oven relay control board. This part is made for the double-oven wall design. The relay control board sends a signal to the main control board, causing the oven to turn on or off. These relay boards are engaged directly by the power button of the unit and the cooking timer. When the relay control board malfunctions or short circuits, the baking and broil functions will be directly affected. The oven may quit powering on altogether if the relay board completely fails. A short in the relay will cause the oven power to function correctly at random times. Wall ovens must be dismounted from their positions to install these parts. Once access is gained to the tear of the stove, the back panel can be removed. The relay control board is located near the bottom of the unit, close to the utility drawer. Unplug the connecting wires and engage the mounting clips holding the board. Discard the old unit, and replace it with the upgrade. Connect the cables and fasten the metal panel on the rear of the oven. Check for proper function before mounting the stove back into the wall. This is a genuine OEM product and is obtained directly from the manufacturer. This part is only compatible with Frigidaire wall ovens.

Bottom oven works fine. Top oven problems: clean function doesn't work - doesn't get hot enough; normal use of oven looks like convection is better at getting to temperature but regular bake doesn't feel like it gets hot enough; don't think the chime that tells you the oven has reached the right temperature works for bake mode but is ok for convection. My wife thinks the top oven takes longer to heat up. Any ideas? Trying to get an idea of potential cost to repair versus just replacing. Oven is circa 2002.

P, I'm not sure you have a problem. Let me explain a few things, There's little or no difference in the temperature between Bake and Convection Bake. The user or the control(depending on the control) needs to set the temperature 25dgrs less than recommended or set. Turns the convection fan on to circulate the heated air in the convect bake setting. In the Bake cycle, it's just that. User selects the temperature, pre heats the oven for 15 to 20 minutes and then puts the article(s) in the oven and cooks to their desired time or browning. You may want to check your oven temperature to verify the temperature and make corrections if necessary. You'll need an accurate oven thermometer, and about a good 45 to 60 minutes to check and adjust if needed. You could adjust the temperature by reprogamming the control resistance 10 or 20 dgrs at a time, until you reach the maximum adjustment(usually 35 dgrs.). That process should be in the User's Guide and/or Oven control guide. Hope this was a little helpful, and Thanks

Hello James. You will need to test and see if the thermal switch 318004900 is good. If so, you will need to test and see if the relay board is sending power to the lower oven. If it is not, you will need to replace the board. Hope this helps.
