Randy Q July 30, 2012 for Model Number GLEB27T8ABA FOLLOWUP --I have tested the voltage on the lower relay unit as directed... this is the voltages I recorded... left side, L2=22v CV=20v L2=22v DRLK=64.... right side, BR=1v L2=176v BA=1 These voltages were recorded while unit was on upper broil setting Randy This is a followup to my original question an the answer provided, http://www.appliancepartspros.com/questions-for-FRIGIDAIRE-Board---relay-AP2127302-qid60436.aspx#q60436 my first question.."I am looking at a friends oven for her. I tested it, the top bake works fine and to correct temp. The top an bottom broil an bottom bake do not heat up at all. I tested all of the elements an they show 17-20 ohms. Do you feel this is one of the relay boards or the clock board? Is there a test procedure to narrow this down?.... the answer was..."Hello Randy. Test for power coming from the lower relay board AP2127301 to the element. If there is power coming to the board, but none out, replace the relay board. If there is no power coming to the board, replace the clock. 1 Answer Hello Randy. Based on the test you did, it sounds like there is a voltage issue if there was 176 volts on one spade of the board and all the others are very low. Check the power coming into the unit and make sure there is 240 volts coming to the unit. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Randy. Test for power coming from the lower relay board 318022001 to the element. If there is power coming to the board, but none out, replace the relay board. If there is no power coming to the board, replace the clock. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Ruth June 08, 2012 for Model Number PLEB27T8CCB-frigidaire We are a little concerned regarding the testing of the circuit board in our double wall oven. The concern is,testing needs to be done while power and oven is on, is this going to light up my husband like a Christmas tree? Could we please get a little more detailed instructions on this testing process. Thanks a lot .
1 Answer Hello Ruth. This is the only way to test the relay board 318022002 is with live power. Some people are not comfortable with live power and in that case, it is best to hire a professional to come in and do the testing for you. You can still replace the parts yourself and save alot of money that way. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Tomcat May 30, 2012 for Model Number gleb27t8c Both broilers upper and lower ovens don't work. Checked ohms on upper broiler and it test ok. Which relay board is the problem?
1 Answer Hello Tomcat. It may not be the relay boards. It may be that the clock 318010501 is not sending power to turn the relays on to send the signal. If so, you will need to replace the clock in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Janie May 15, 2012 for Model Number FEB398WECA When we try to heat up both the top and bottom oven, they often just shut off and do not continue to heat up. Sometimes they do heat up and work just fine. No rhyme or reason to which one will decide to work or not. Any idea as to which parts need to be replaced?
1 Answer Hello Janie. If they shut off at random times, ti aounds like the clock assembly 318010501 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Rose January 06, 2012 for Model Number PLEB27T8CCA My upper oven does not come to temperture. It never gets higher than a couple hundred degrees (even though the oven beeps as though it has reached the correct temperature). Broil element works perfectly, but bake element never warms. I checked both the bake element and temperature probe for continuity - they both appear fine. I suspect the upper oven relay board AP2127302 - but given the oven "thinks" its getting to correct temperture am wondering if I'm missing a thermostat somewhere?
1 Answer Hello Rose. Test for power to the bake element. If there is none there, you will need to replace the realy board 318022002. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Mike December 07, 2011 for Model Number PLEB30T8ACB I have a Frigidaire Gallery dual oven, model PLEB30T8ACB. I need to replace the lower oven relay board (have already received the new part), but cannot get at the old board to remove it. What's the best way to remove the old relay board?
1 Answer Hello Mike. 1. Disconnect wall oven from electrical supply. 2. Remove wall oven from the cabinet. 3. Remove the panels to access oven control. 4. Remove the 3 screws on front under the control panel. 5. Lift the control panel by tilting it toward the rear of the appliance. You can now access and replace the relay board 318022002. Hope this helps. Read More...
Peter H. October 06, 2011 for Model Number PLEB30T8ACB Hi. I have a Frigidaire Gallery dual oven, model PLEB30T8ACB. The upper oven's bottom heating element is not working. I replaced the heating element and still it does not heat up (the upper/broiler element works fine), stays completely cold when oven turned on. What could be the problem? Are their electronics that control this element?
1 Answer Hello Peter. Test the thermal switch 318004900 and see if it reads closed. If it is open, try pressing in on the red button and reseting it. If the switch is closed, and the unit does not work, you will need to replace the relay board 318022002. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Steve September 03, 2011 for Model Number Frigidaire oven GLEB30T8CSA My top oven will not power on either elements and the bottom bake will not come on. The bottom broiler will power on to maybe 250 degrees. I have power to the relay brds L-1 and L-2. My thermal circuit breaker on top is good. And I have continuity throuh the elements any Ideas? Thanks
1 Answer Hi Steve. The top oven relay board is part # 318022002. The lower relay board is part # 318022001. But first for the bottom oven should need a oven thermostat that will allow you to reach oven temperature. Part # is 316490001. Thank you. Read More...
Tammie August 01, 2011 for Model Number feb798ccbi My dual convection wall oven will not work. The bottom oven does not work at all. The top oven works on a whim. Sometimes it has no issues other times it will alarm and code with an F3 code, then reguiring us to turn off the breaker and wait sometimes hours to get it to work. We have put a new heat thermostat sensor in both top and bottom, that was not it. The repair guy is saying it is the control panel now but no quareentees, I don't have the money to keep throwing parts at this thing. Do you have any ideas. The repair guy has done no tests of any kind on this oven. I think he is just guessing as well.
1 Answer Hi Tammie. The F-3 code is because of the oven sensors have went bad. They send the temperature to the clock/ control to let whichever relay board to close and send the proper 120vac to the bake or broil elements. The upper relay board is part # 318022002. The lower relay board is part # 318022001. The relays will naturally get weak and not send the proper voltage to the elements. We are here to help. Thank you. Read More...
