Arnold February 24, 2015 for Model Number FPHD2491KF0 I have a Frigidaire gallery dish washer (FPHD2491KF0) and it won't clean the dishes which I have diagnosed to be the circulation pump won't turn on. However the motor test out fine, so I went to the next logical place the control board. However the board is good and has 120v at the terminals that supply power to the motor. I get continuity on the one wire to the motor but not the other. Is there an inline timer or fuse that I could be looking at the cause of this or is just simply the wire is no good and should be replaced? I had a repair company out here but they just want to replace the control board which i believe through testing isn't even the issue. I'd like to avoid any unnecessary and costly repairs. I have searched high and low for a wire schematic but have come up empty handed, perhaps they don't have one? Thanks
1 Answer Arnold, There is a wiring diagram and tech data sheet available for your dishwasher. If you repost the question, and attach an e mail address, we'll be happy to send it to you. The purple wire is the 120 VAC power supply to the wash motor from the control board and the red/white wire is the neutral leg of the circuit from the door switch assembly. Start the dishwasher when the wash motor should run, check for 120 VAC from the purple wire to chassis ground, if the voltage is there, then the wire and control board are OK, then you'll need to check the red/white wire for damage and breaks. Brett November 04, 2014 for Model Number FPHD2481KF0 The circulation pump runs all the time, shuts off when you open door?
1 Answer Brett, The only way for the circulation pump to run would be for the circuit to be completed. The only way a circuit to be completed would be for a relay on the control board to be stuck. This would require the control board to be replaced. The control board part number is 154815701. Read More...
Jason June 16, 2014 Will circulation motor AP5272390 fit a Frigidaire Ultra Quiet 2? I tried checking to model number, but it's corroded and illegible.
1 Answer Hello Jason! The motor fits several Frigidaire units however, without an appliance model number we can not guarantee that it will fit your unit. You can remove the existing motor and check for a tag plate which should include a part number. Hope this helps, thanks. Read More...
Aaron May 05, 2014 for Model Number 5871514200 My dishwasher is making loud noise when it is on. I know it is a pump motor but not sure which one. The dishwasher will drain but leave little water at the bottom. The dishwasher will spray water normal without sound. All I know they it is loud during the whole time when it is running. Could you tell me what would be the problem. Thanks.
1 Answer Aaron, If the unit is only making the noise when it is draining then the issue would most likely be caused by the drain pump A00126501. Read More...
Michael April 06, 2014 for Model Number FDB4050LHS1 The dishwasher runs fine and was, up until this point, very quiet, however during the wash cycle now it is making a straining noise that coincides with the pumping of the motor or circular motion of the arms. Having read now lots of possible problems, it sounds like the bearings in the circulation motor. Any other ideas or would you concur? Thank you for your input.
1 Answer Hello Michael, If this is a surging sound that pulsates on ands off during water circulation, the unit is not filling with enough water. The water pressure and the water valve 154637401 should be checked, Read More...
Jeff B February 13, 2014 for Model Number 154547901 The dishwasher fills up with water, but the wash cycle never starts. I push cancel and the machine drains properly. I replaced the circulation motor. Not sure what's next; the control panel??
1 Answer Hello Jeff. Make sure all the wires are good on the unit. If the wires are good, you will need to replace the control board on the unit. Read More...
Tom December 30, 2013 for Model Number FDB126RBQ2 Dishwasher bottom sprayer does spin and dishwasher makes a real loud noise when its running and leaves dishes not too clean.
1 Answer Tom, You will want to check inside the sump to unsure that there is nothing caught under the impeller or jammed that would cause the noise and cause the impeller to not circulate the water. If this checks ok then the circulation pump is what would be needed. Read More...
Glenn December 26, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire/Electrolux FFBD2405KS0A My dishwasher is fairly new and barely used. Using it for the first time in a while, it started making some funny noises. When the whole cycle was finished my whole floor was flooded. I tried to find where the leak was coming from and it was right under the circulating pump. I took it out and put it back in thinking maybe it's just loose. So I ran a full cycle once again and found water dripping from the same spot but not as much. Inside the dishwasher however is stagnant water that I found upon removing the strainer. I tried draining it by running the dishwasher and bypassing the door control. The water would dissipate but eventually came back after the motor stopped. Is it normal for the water to collect in the pump area? And what is causing the leak?
1 Answer Hello Glenn. Yes, the dishwasher never fully drain that is normal. As for the leaking, make sure the sump housing is not cracked and if not, replace the motor 154859201. Read More...
Rob November 26, 2013 for Model Number FPHD2491KF0 I have Frigidaire dishwasher model FPHD2491KF0. The circulation motor would only occasionally engage and then it got to the point where it did not engage at all. With an occasional soft "bump" of the door, it will sometimes briefly engage, but not always. Thinking the motor was defective, I ordered a replacement motor from you and installed with no problems at all. But this did not solve the problem - the exact same thing occurred. The water fills and drains fine, and it will run through a cycle on time, drain at correct intervals and the heating elemnet even comes on at the correct times. The circulation motor simply won't engage to wash. There is no noise or sound coming from anywhere when it is supposed to be circulating. My guess at this point is either a faulty control panel or a faulty wiring harness. Do you have any guidance on what this might be? Thanks for any help - I'm out of work and trying to keep costs as low as possible.
1 Answer Hello Rob. If there is power to the motor, and it does not run, you will need to order and replace the circulation pump on the unit. Read More...
Jenny June 02, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire Hi, I have to replace the circulation motor on my dishwasher. On the old motor it says: Johnson DCJ72(4)MLG 120V 60Hz P/N 15439901 ID No: 106N6504003 0.6 A 60Watt 3100 RPM. I could not find this part on your webpage. Could you please, help me to find the right motor? Thanks, Jenny
1 Answer Hello Jenny! Unfortunately, the numbers given off the part does not match any results in our database. Searching google I've found several different threads with the same Johnson model. There are several different circulation pump motors listed. Do you have your dishwasher model number available? If so, repost and we'll be glad to verify the correct circulation pump motor kit for your unit. Read More...
