For Frigidaire Dishwasher Circulation Pump Motor (Part Number: OEM15817179)

Lokai, I wouldn't start at the wash/pump motor, not yet, anyway. I'm sure you've checked the filter(s) for debris and clogs and there are no detergent or hard water deposits on the screens causing improper water flow through the system. You should check and make sure the dishwasher is filling properly. low water level or slow fill will effect the pump operation and cause the upper spray arms to appear to be inoperable, make sure the float assembly moves up and down freely on the float guide and the water level should be equal to the bottom of the door(at least) after the dishwasher has filled and washed for 5 minutes.

Daniel, You will want to make sure that the check ball is moving freely ad that the cover is not clogged. This is located under the lower spray arm.

Mike, It's most likely the "HS" error code. It may look like a "H5". The indication is " The control has sensed a problem with the Hall style sensor in the wash motor." You'll need to check to see if there are any loose or wet connections and the motor wiring connections. You'll need to remove the pump cover and check for obstructions in the sump and motor, and repalce the motor 154859201 if all's OK.

Lisa for Model Number FDB1050REB0

When I turn my dishwasher on, it takes along time for anything to start. When it does start, I hear water dripping inside. Then I hear a pump come on and water pumps out. There is no washing sound. The bottom arm does not move. Water just circulates in and then out. No washing. I doesn't matter what setting it is on. It does the same thing on short wash, rinse only, pots and pans, etc. Do I need a pump? or a timer? or something else? I just don't know what part to get. Thank you.

Lisa, Based on your information, the first palce to start, is at the start of the cycle, when the dishwasher fills, if the water level is low, then there won't be enough water to pressurize the pump and circulate the water. Start the dishwasher and allow it to fill and wash for 5 minutes. the unlatch the door and remove the lower dishrack the water level should cover the filter and be 3/4 to 1 inch high on the lower spraty arm support 5304532235 if the water level is not at least that high, it's not filled to the proper level and there's not enough water and pressure in the pump to wash properly, and you'll most likely need a new fill valve 154637401.

Hi. The circulation pump part # 154859201 does spray the water internally. If the impeller spins loose on the pump shaft then replace it. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. Along with it you will find the wiring diagram that shows the board output to the circulation pump. If the board has no output and the motor lead wires and the motor windings are good then replace the control. Thank You.

Brad for Model Number FDB4050LHS1

Two questions: First, my dishwasher's circulation pump does not turn on while cycling. I tested the connection to the motor and get 120V... but not just when the pump should be cycling, all the time, even when the dishwasher is idle. I'm ignorant as to what dictates the running of the motor, whether the control panel supplied power when needed or if it has something to do with the Hall Sensor attached to the motor. If I jump the Hall sensor, the motor runs. So I would assume it is the pump/motor/hall sensor assembly, however it bothers me that I get 120V from the control panel even when the dishwasher is idle (not cycling under any program). I'm not sure whether to replace the control panel, the pump/motor/hall sensor assembly or both (which seems unlikely). The second question is my model number is FDB4050LHS1, yet the motor p/n is 154683201. The manufacturer's p/n listed on this website for my model number is 154859201, will this one work? Thanks

Brad, You do have the correct part number for the motor assembly (154859201) 154859201 the manufacturer has "substituted the original motor to and updated motor assembly,so you're OK, if you need it. At this point, it sounds more like a faulty control board 5304514670, you're not completing the neutral circuit from the control board to the motor. Recheck and make sure the power supply in the junction box behind the kickplate is proper(L1-120 VAC is attached to the Black wire and neutral no VAC is attached to the white wire, and ground to the chassis) and that the connections are good and tight. Thanks
