Mark, You're sure you properly set the convertible controls properly and have allow at least 24 hours for the temperature to equalize in the compartment. Check and make sure the door is sealing to the front flange, all the way around the opening, and the interior light goes out when the door is closed. Are the exterior walls warm ? they should be 30 to 40 dgrs warmer than the room temperature. We would not suspect the ambient thermostat to be the issue, at this point, so that would leave the freezer control module 297282800 as the culprit.

Hello Miortha. The control 297282800 is easy to replace. Disconnect the power and use a flat blade to release the control from the back wall. It unsnaps from the unit. Once removed, you will unplug the wires and install the new control into the unit.

Hello John. If you look on your unit, there should be a wiring diagram with the pin connections on it. We can not provide that for a part, 297282800 control, when the models could be wired differently. Thank you.

Allen, Just like Pete, I'm sure you've got a damaged control. Solid state printed circuit board controls do not accept voltage fluctuations or amperage and wattage fluctuations (for that matter)very well. Any voltage below 105 volts, could damage a control, less than 102 VAC will damage a control, is a basic rule of thumb. You can check the high voltage power into the control and the voltage out to the compressor or heater depending on what cycle your on. Thanks and Good Luck
