The Control Board Dryer is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire electric dryers. As the central processing unit, the control board is responsible for operating all electronically controlled systems and components that enable the drying process. It precisely coordinates heating times and temperature, drum rotation, airflow, sensors, and more.

Causes of a bad control board can include damage due to moisture intrusion, defective electronic components, or general wear and tear over extended use.

Symptoms of a bad control board include:

  • The dryer failing to start, heat or tumble clothes
  • Random restarting or stopping during cycles
  • Burning smells coming from the control board area
  • Error codes flashing on the display

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore electric dryer models.

Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Control Board (Part Number: OEM11533674)

1 Answer

Tammy, if the door switch is operating properly and the vents are clear, the failure would most likely be the main control 134484212 if the display turns off as well.

Jim for Model Number leq1442es1

My frigidaire dryer model leq1442es1 would start the cycle then after a few minutes it would start beeping and the lights would star flashing, then it would shut down. I tested the themostats, heater coil, fuse and motor switch. Everything checks out. So I replaced the board, and now it won't heat. I checked everything over again. And everything checks out, except I checked the red and black heater wires on the back of the board and found there is 120 v going in on the red and nothing coming out on the black. So then I unplugged the red and black wires from the relay and put in a jumper and turned it on and the dryer started heating. So I checked the continuity of the relay with the dryer on and found nothing. I'm really stumped. Any ideas?

All this occurred over time: My dryer would run but sometimes not heat. I fiddled moving buttons around and it would heat on timed settings either low or medium, I use. Then, the dryer would beep occasionally and stop heating. At some point, the dryer would just start beeping w/o being touched. When ready to dry, I could still manipulate the buttons to get it to heat on timed settings. Last week, I did the troubleshooting with Select and Cancel/Pause then Start and Cancel/Pause - but could not count the beeps. The dryer was beeping more, so I unplugged it. Plugged it back in but Now, it won't start. The selection lights are responsive but nothing will make it run - at least it used to run even when it didn't heat. Also, not getting any troubleshooting beeps Start and Cancel/Pause as I was getting when moving knob to 2 o'clock position. I think it is the control board but want advice.

Hello Pitbull, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Lance R for Model Number feq1442ES0

Hi - my dryer rarely heats when on the low heat setting. Everything seems to run properly, but there is no heat (back of dryer is room temperature, clothes are wet). Other heat levels work. Leaving it unplugged seems to "reset" it, but it stops heating again after a load or two on "Low". Replaced that high limit and the thermistor (the variable resistance heat sensor). I'm thinking the heat level knob might not be connecting properly on low. Any better ideas?

1 Answer

Hello Lance. Check the knob and if it is good, you will need to replace the board on the unit.

Emily, This may have been a E25 and would indicate a control NTC Open circuit. Remove wires from control thermistor. Measure resistance of thermistor. If reading is not 50 K (± 10%), replace thermistor. If reading is within 50 K (± 10%), check wiring between thermistor and electronic control. If good, replace electronic control..

Tony for Model Number LEQ1442ES1

Hi There, I purchased part # AP3844555 control board for my Fridgidaire dryer model #. LEQ1442ES1 serial # XD84409698. DIY video it shows that the indicator lenses (parts #'s 7 & 8 did not come with the part. However 2 of the 3 of these lenses have 1 of the end of these arms that are broken off. Also the black turn shaft on the main dial that sets the dryer times and type is missing on the new part and I don't know how to remove this from the old unit. I don't want to break it. This part shows that it is on the new part in the video Can you help supply the lenses and guide me on what to do with the black control dial shaft. Thanks in advance Tony

Tony, It appears that the black shaft should have come with the control board but if it did not then the black shaft should just pull straight out. For the light pipe number 7 on the diagram it is part number 134429100, number 8 in the diagram is part number 134429200.
