Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Control Board (Electronic Main) (Part Number: OEM17850102)

Keith for Model Number EIMED60LT2

This dryer was working fine but the last load came out feeling much hotter than normal. Since then the dryer has run only briefly a couple times. When we turn the control knob or press the start button the led display and button lights flash but do not stay on. the times I got it to start, pressing the start button displayed the normal setting and turning the knob I could select mixed load and pressing start again the dryer would run, but then when stop it and try to start again only the display flashes with nothing in the display. I have unplugged from power and plugged back in and tried pushing buttons to get error codes and do factory reset but that did not produce any other results that above described. I suspect the problem is the control board. What do you suggest? If that is the issue, what else besides the board should I consider replacing?

Keith, Based on the information provided I would attempt to read the error codes to see if the machine is throwing a code. READING ERROR CODES 1. Wake the dryer up by pressing any button but “cancel”. 2. Press and hold the “cancel” and “start pause” buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds to show the last error code recorded. The error code will appear in the display as an E followed by two numbers. NOTE: E00 means no failure code experienced. 3. To view the last 5 error codes recorded, refer to the Diagnostic Mode listed below. 4. Troubleshoot problems by using the chart below.
