Greg October 26, 2014 for Model Number FRS26H5AS Hi: On my refrigerator I am experiencing some issues with the compressor. It either runs constantly or it turns on for a few minutes and then immediately turns off. The inside fan runs constantly during this later scenario. Turning the freezer temperature control, which seems to control the compressor, does not seem to make any difference -- including turning it to setting 0, which used to turn everything off. The other temperature control (on the right for the refrigerator) seems to control only the damper motor and doesn't seem to be related to the compressor control. Defrost seems to be working OK, but I can't tell for sure. There is no ice on the coils but there is no water in the defrost drip pan under the fridge. What could be wrong? Is it the freezer temp control? Thank you. PS -- I don't have any more numbers on the model. It was purchased at Lowes and is stainless steel (which I believe are what constitute the missing last two in the model number).

Michael L. July 20, 2014 for Model Number FRS26H5ASB5 My refrigerator is running way too cold and is freezing stuff. Turned settings down real low, everything still ice cold.
1 Answer Hello Michael, First you need to realize that turning the temperature of the fresh food compartment warmer will cause a lack of air circulation. This causes the items near the bottom of the fresh food compartment to freeze because the heavier cold air from the freezer side will migrate backwards into the bottom of the fresh food compartment. If this is not the case, you will need to replace the damper 5304482075. Read More...
Clay April 09, 2014 for Model Number FRS23H5ASB6 My refrigerator side kept freezing up. Replaced the control box. original part # was 240521103. Replaced with 5304482075. Now that it is replaced, the fan continually runs and the air damper continually moves (open and closes like 3 times every minute) is this normal? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Clay. No, the wires on the damper motor is not on correctly or is on the wrong switch. You will need to check it out. Read More...
Kevin February 26, 2014 for Model Number FRS26h7cw0 Need to remove the tubing from the back of the water filter head in order to be able to replace the control box. It looks like it is plastic tubing inserted (?) in blue connectors. How do I get the tubing out?
1 Answer Hello Kevin. You press in on the blue compression fittings and then the water lines will pull out of the filter head on the unit. Read More...
Jesse December 01, 2013 for Model Number FRS26RBCW0 I have a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator. The problem is the fridge side is too cold. The temp control settings do nothing when you turn the temp down. I went to your site and for this symtom you said most of the time the fix is the Defrost themostat kit. I replaced it and it did not fix it. Any recommendations?
1 Answer Hello Jesse. You will need to order and replace the temp control 240383703 in the unit. Read More...
Harold October 28, 2013 for Model Number FRS26R2A* Food was freezing on fresh food side and repair man changed the vent and did not help. He came back and put duck tape on the vent until he could get the part. Part # is 240383703. Then compressor ran all the time . Freezer got colder then my thermometer would register. The vent stayed closed and the fresh food side got very warm. Which part would you suggest i change? I can change instead of paying another service charge of $65.00.
1 Answer Harold, The control box kit was designed for this type of issue of the refrigerator side getting to cold. You would want to install the control box kit 5304482075. Read More...
