Joe October 13, 2015 for Model Number PLHS267ZCB0 Freezer works fine. Fridge is warm and not cooling. I noticed the damper was not on when I felt toward the back of the unit. So decided to loosen some of the screws and upon doing so the damper kicked on but now it comes on intermittently or not at all unless I loosen the front screws underneath the thermostat dials. This seems to kick it back on but sometimes it needs a light tap to get it going. Is this actually a bad thermo sensor and has nothing to do with damper?
1 Answer Hello Joe. No, it sounds like the damper is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Jj August 31, 2015 for Model Number FRS23BH6CS0 I have frigidaire model FRS23BH6CS0. Will kit Frigidaire 5304482075 Control Box Kit work with my model? Looks to be the same. Thanks! JJ
Bmack August 28, 2015 for Model Number frs23w3aw0 Evaporator fan motor not working. Fan/light switch in freezer ok. Could this be a damper problem?
1 Answer Hello Bmack. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the fan motor 5303918549 in the unit. If so, you will need to replace the fan motor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Carol C. May 17, 2015 for Model Number FRSKF6CQ1 A while back we were having issues with our Frigidaire Model #FRS23KF6CQ1 the Refrigerator was staying turn warm, freezer worked fine. We ordered Part Number: AP5176342 and installed it now the refrigerator stays to cold. Even with the thermostat control turned down to "0" the refrigerator stays between 28 & 32 degrees. Items are freezing in the refrigerator. It's like we cannot control the temp in the refrigerator. The freezer section is still working fine as before. Any suggestions? Thanks
1 Answer Carol, It sounds like you may have gotten some wires crossed or may have received a defective part with the freezer getting to 28 degrees with a new control box kit. Read More...
Too Figidaire March 12, 2015 for Model Number PLHS267ZCB0 I have the typical Figidaire failure mode. Freezing of food on the fridge side, with no damper door movement except when I unplugged then re-plugged in the unit. The damper door would cycle once then stay fully open. Replaced the Control assembly. The fride side temperature control of new control unit had no effect. The damper motor only cycled the damper once, like the old one. The new control assembly uses only one connector on the damper motor, the original control used two connectors. Which connector should be used, the one closest or furthest to the motor? When I contacted the supplier, they sent me a second control box. The wiring to the fridge/freezer thermostats was reversed from the first new one! It didn't work either. Is there a schematic with color codes for the thermostats? I have a real issue with Figidaire quality control.
1 Answer Too Frigidaire, On the connection of the wire to the damper, you would want the wire connected closest to the damper. Also if you received a control box kit then you would use the included wire harness that comes with the kit to install the part. As for the wiring diagram on the unit. Here is a link to go to and if you click guides it will bring up the wiring diagram for download. http://www.frigidaire.com/Owner-Center/Product-Support--Manuals/?productCode=PLHS267ZCB0 Read More...
Tom February 28, 2015 for Model Number FRS26R4AW1 Freezer side fine, refrigerator side still warm. Initially found evaporator coils frozen over and evaporator fan cycling on and off. Defrosted coils, installed new Defrost Thermostat and Adaptive Defrost timer control board. Now damper seems to stay closed, but when I unplug unit, door opens and when plugged back in it cycles closed. Condenser, condenser fan and compressor working normal. evaporator fan now working fine and coils are defrosting as they should. What am I missing, seems to be a damper issue, but it has power and works when unit turned on and off? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tom. The damper will be closed until the freezer gets to the correct temp, then should open to cool the fresh food side. If not, the cold control may be bad in the unit. Read More...
Garry February 05, 2015 for Model Number FRS26H7CB0 Will part #5304482075 fit model #FRS26H7CB0? Your compatibility chart says no, but it looks like the part fits every other unit that is almost identical to my refrigerator. If it doesn't fit, is there a kit that includes the damper and temperature control for this model? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Garry! No, the control box kit 5304482075 is not listed as being compatible with your model. You'll have to get the parts separate as the parts are not available as a kit. The damper is part number 241600902 and temp controls are part number 240383703 and 5304496561. Thanks. Read More...
Greg December 17, 2014 for Model Number FRS26F4CW0 There is an extra plug with a blue and orange wire on this part. It was not on the old unit. Where does this plug attach?
1 Answer Hello Greg. If it was not used on the old part, you will not use it on this part. Just lay it inside the housing. Read More...
Tim December 13, 2014 for Model Number glhs67zaw0 I have changed out the control box and I am getting no power to fan inside the freezer. Control box came as a kit so also changed the refrigerator and freezer control knobs.
1 Answer Tim, With having the control box replaced, you will want to make sure that all connections are made firmly and if they check ok then it sounds like the defrost board in the kit may be faulty as this is what supplies power to the fan motor. Read More...
Justin December 03, 2014 for Model Number GLRS267ZCW1 Hello, I just wanted to ask as I cant seem to get the right answer for my question, I have already replaced the air damper door and the fridge temp control, and still have freezing food in fridge section. Damper door closes on 0 and opens all the way on any other setting. If I have already bought half of the components in this kit, why coudn't i just replace the remaining component, the ADC board? Does it have any control over the damper position?
1 Answer Hello Justin. They have changed the design of the damper and control box. It is best to replace the kit on the unit. The ADC does not control the damper in any way. Only the fresh food control. Read More...
