Mike May 07, 2015 for Model Number Freezer 25321421104 My freezer used to sound like the evaporator fan was running all the time. Now the fan does not run at all and I'm assuming it burned itself out. I am going to order a new fan but I was wondering what part could cause the fan to run continuously. If it's a second part that could cause this, I can replace it at the same time to ensure that the new fan does not run constantly as well and burn out.
Josh May 04, 2015 for Model Number LFFH1467DW3 Hello, One morning as I entered the garage I heard a loud buzzing coming from my upright freezer. There was a read light on. This light is located at the bottom right of the unit. Next to the the red light is a switch. I flipped the switch and the buzzing stopped but the red light stayed on. That next day I check the freezer and the temp was 10 degrees which is higher than it normally ran. I cranked up the temp control to max cold but nothing's changed. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Josh, You will want to check the evaporator coils to make sure that the coils are not impacted with ice. If they are then this would be a defrost system error and you will want to test the heater and the defrost thermostat to make sure that they have continuity. If not then the part is bad. If these check ok but evaporator is impacted with ice then the defrost timer is faulty. If the coils are not impacted and have a nice even frost pattern then the issue will most likely be caused by the sensor assembly 5308037992. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Johney. It sounds like the damper R0161050 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
James June 20, 2014 for Model Number lffu1677gw1 I just orderd a temperature control thermostat and its not the same as the original...there are 3 wires I have to plug into the thermostat...I know one green wire plugs in at the top...but since this part is different than the original...the two male ends are located left side of the component and they are side by side instead of next two each other...so now I don't know if the blue wire connects in the front or the back....or if the black wire connects to the front male end or the back...please I need some help.....its the only thing holding me back from putting my freezer back to gether
1 Answer James, With a thermostat it will not matter which wire goes on which location as they are just passing the power through the thermostat. Read More...
Charles November 10, 2013 for Model Number FRS23LH5DB2 My freezer keeps getting warm but the fridge side works fine when i unplug it it starts working. Then it will work and quit again then i unplug and it will work again.
1 Answer Charles, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a faulty control board. It sounds as if though the unit is going into the defrost cycle and not coming out of the defrost. To correct this issue you would want to replace the Adaptive defrost control 5303918476. Read More...
Joe October 07, 2013 for Model Number ffu14fc4cw3 My freezer does not freeze my ice cream only, everything else meats etc freezer up but that and my temperture is set at the highest # 7 and there is water on the bottom of inside of the freezer can you PLease tell me what could it be.
1 Answer Hello Joe, Ice cream will not freeze solid until it gets down to below 15°F. Since you are freezing but not getting down to 15°F, you either have an air circulation issue or a sealed system issue. The water in the bottom of the unit is probably from a frozen defrost drain. This can be thawed out with a hair dryer after the removal of the back wall. While you're in there, you can check for a blockage of air flow through the coils from a frost build-up. once the drain is cleared, chase it with a length of weedeater line. It will not puncture the rubber hose used in the system. If there is no frost build-up, try pulling the unit out from the wall far enough to give 4 inches or more between the condenser coils on the back of the unit and the wall. Make sure there is room for air to circulate around the unit and the inside of the unit should have room for the air to circulate also. Items in plastic bags should have any excess wrapped around them and not just sticking up as this will interfere with air flow also. Read More...
Scott August 14, 2013 for Model Number Lffu1465dws Freezer stop getting cold all together fan runs and I hear a clicking sound. I replaced the thermostat and the starting device on the compressor. Nothing has changed. please advise.
1 Answer Scott, If the relay on the compressor is clicking but the compressor does not start then the compressor has locked up and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Ralph July 20, 2013 for Model Number ffu11fk0fw0 This freezer has the temp control in the back where the access to the compressor is. It only turns in one direction and has a click. Is the 'click' the coldest or hottest?? thanks.
1 Answer Ralph, When you turn the dial it should turn one direction of on and one direction for off. When the dial clicks then stops this is the off position. When you turn the opposite direction it should turn the unit on and if you go until it stops then that is the coldest setting. There should be a raised area next to the numbers that will tell you what number it should be set at. Read More...

Walt August 21, 2012 for Model Number 23425100 My freezer runs constantly it gets to about 0°F. Do you think the thermostat/temperature control could be bad?
1 Answer Hello Walt, The thermostat could be bad, but 0°F is perfect for the freezer with an ice maker. I would first pull the kick plate off and vacuum the coils. If you cannot access them from the front, pull the unit out and remove the bottom rear cover and vacuum them from there. Most of the time when a unit runs continuously, it is having problems dissipating the heat it has removed from inside the unit back into the room. While you're back there you need to make sure the condenser fan is running. Read More...
