Pat, Use a putty knife or flat blade screwdriver under the bottom of the trim and it will pop out. Once it pops out then lift the cover off and there will be 4 screws behind there that would be removed in order to remove the housing. Once out you will have access to the rotary damper. You will want to check the lever to make sure that it is not broken also.

Ket, Yes, you would be able to replace the rotary damper. You will want to remove the drip tray from the dispenser and remove the 3 screws at the bottom which hold the display on. Once removed you will remove the 4 screws holding the dispenser bracket in place. Once that is removed you will have access to the rotary damper.

Hello Steve. Check and see if the water line is frozen in the freezer door. If so, thaw out the water line and it should be fine. You can remove the hose from the bottom of the door to test this.

Larry, There is not a part that sits on the bottom of the water line to hold it in place. The opening is slightly smaller to allow the tube to slide in but not slide out of the housing. If it pushes down inside but keeps popping out then make sure that it is pushed through properly and if it is then it sounds like the housing bracket may need to be replaced.

Caleb, You will want to check the switch on the dispenser to make sure that the lever is making contact with the switch. If the lever is not making contact with the switch you will want to ensure that the teeth on the lever gear are not broken as this can cause the issue. Also check to make sure that the switch has continuity when pushed.

Hello Rich, You should empty the ice bin and clear any ice particles from the bottom that may have accumulated and frozen together. Next, make sure the diverter actuator rod on the bottom of the ice bin operates freely. If you look in to the bottom opening where the ice drops out of the ice bin you will see how it operates by working the rod. The diverter has to be actuated to allow the cubes to go around the crusher blades. If the diverter doesn't move to allow the cubes to go around the blades, the ice will be crushed. Now you should go to the shelf in the freezer compartment where the ice bin sits. The small square opening on the right has a plastic part inside it that the actuator rod should go into. If this part is up where the rod cannot go into it, it could be causing the issue. With the ice bin still out, press the door switch in while pressing the ice dispense paddle with the unit set to dispense cubes. The solenoid should pop the plastic "box" to the up position. This is what trips the diverter out of the way. If it is already in the up position, it should be pulled down to allow the solenoid to move the actuator rod.

Hello Ray. This sounds like the auger motor. The damper will should not make that noise unless the door on the ice is jammed. Check the door and the motor.
