1 Answer Hello! Disconnect dishwasher from power supply. You will need to remove the door panel. The outer door panel is mounted to the inner door panel by Phillips head screws. Removing the outer door panel will expose sharp edges on the inner door panel. Be sure to support outer door as screws are removed to prevent damage to outer panel and dishwasher. Remove any wiring harnesses from controls and ground connection on door panel. Remove six screws securing dispenser assembly to inner door panel. Retainer brackets on the top and bottom may also need to be removed. Install in reverse order. Hope this helps! Read More...
Bill April 11, 2011 for Model Number FDB636GFS5 Detergent dispenser door does not open. How do I test it?....or could it be the timer?
1 Answer Bill, I presume the detergent cup lid is closed when you open the door. Have you checked to see if the latch is stuck, due to a detergent build up in that area ? You can attach a 120 volt test cord to the terminals on the wax motor, and observe the plunger to see if it expands and releases the latch. If it opens, then you will need to check the wiring back to the timer and replace the timer. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
