Everett February 21, 2019 for Model Number FDB520RHB3B I ordered the door spring link and received one. Don't I need one for each side?
1 Answer Everett, if both links have failed then yes you would need both. However, if only one has failed then it would be at the discretion of the repairer as to whether or not to replace both links. Read More...
Pete February 15, 2019 for Model Number GPDB998JC0 On the page for linkage and spring replacement shows two different springs for my particular model, 154430601 & 154430501 with different prices. Mickey December 23, 2014 for Model Number FDB750RCo The left side of the door has a lot of play in it. I tried tighting the spring but that didn't change anything. Could it be the latch at the top of the door frame? I don't see any adjustments on that catch. Thank you
Norbert V. September 04, 2013 for Model Number FDB949GFT2 Door opens too far. Rack must be lifted to push it into washer. I can find no solid stop for door. Right door spring is badly stretched.(coil part about 2 inches longer than other spring). left side had no plastic link on spring end. (It was laying on floor in back. Must have flown off last time I replaced spring). I have a new spring. There are several holes for spring in frame bottom. Do I try various holes till door opens correctly?
1 Answer Hello Norbert, The multiple holes in the base for different adjustments are in case the unit has had a custom panel kit installed. If it had a wooden panel installed, the door would be considerably heavier and this requires a stronger spring tension. For this reason, the slots were provided by the manufacturer. The proper adjustment is where the door closes slowly on its' own with the rack in but the weight of the empty rack holds the door opened. Read More...

Bob L. November 08, 2012 for Model Number Frigidaire Model FDB510LCS5 I asked a question earlier about my dishwasher door opening too far and the rack rolling out on the floor. I was going to order two door springs, but after reading Jar Head's message, I wonder if it is a door spring problem after all. What is supposed to make the door stop at the proper elevation? Would I need something other than door springs?
1 Answer Hello Bob, I believe you will have to order the door hinges unless you can bend them back into shape. The left is 5304513274 and the right is 5304513274. Read More...
