1 Answer Robert, In order to replace the heating element on the cooktop you will need to pull the unit from installation. Making sure that power is off. Remove the knobs and you may have to remove screws holding the burners switches if there are any. Once this is done you will remove screws around the perimeter top of the burner box that would hold the main top on. 1 Answer Juan, Based on where you have the wires connected it sounds like you have the unit wired correctly. You will want to check to make sure that you are getting power to the element by checking from L1 to H2 on the infinite switch. I believe I got the model number and it looks exactly the same except for one of the connection prongs. The old one has a little black wire soldered to one of the prongs, which then connects to the sensor prongs. But the new one doesnt have that soldered wire, and furthermore, has a little metal piece connecting two prongs that were not connected on the old one. What do I do?
