Annabelle February 05, 2016 for Model Number Sharp KB3401LS The bottom heating element burned out. I need a replacement, but, it seems as if Sharp has left the business without any replacement parts available. Will a replacement bottom heating element from another company work in my oven? The measurements on the heating element are 20 inches wide and 14 inches deep.

Santiago February 03, 2016 for Model Number Westinghouse KB451RXM I have an older Westinghouse double oven model number KB451RXM. It is 27" wide. The bottom element broke/ shorted out. The model number on the element I believe is 0147361. The other numbers on the element are 2660W and 236V. I believe this is the original element. The element is shaped like a bow-tie and the wire leads are held on by screws. The top element in the oven has been replaced, because it is a different shape. However, the top element dosen't work. I was going to replace this one first and troubleshoot the top one later. Any clue as to what element I need to buy?
1 Answer Santiago, The part number for the bake element in the upper or lower oven will be 5300207517. This will look different than the original but will work for your unit. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Tom. You will test the element for continuity. It should read closed. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Robert August 08, 2015 for Model Number GLEB30T8CBA Frigidaire Double oven. Lower oven not holding temperature. I swapped elements and temp sensors but lower oven still doesn't hold temp. Latest action: set pre-bake on 325. It took 10 minutes to reach. I set a manual thermometer in the slightly opened door. Temp never got above 315 (upper oven reached and held 340). Once 315 reached temp fell to about 240 and stayed there. What should I check next? What part(s) do I need to replace?
1 Answer Robert, You will want to test the oven sensor from the control board. This will test the wires as well as the sensor. You will want to check at room temperature for a resistance of 1090 ohms. If you turn the oven on for every degree that the oven raises you would add 2 ohms of resistance. If the resistance does not check ok then either the wires or the sensor itself is faulty and would need replaced. Read More...
