Clyde B October 13, 2015 for Model Number lgbd2035nqoa Does my model washer use the seal shown in the video? My old seal does not have the space in the middle of it but is solid all the way across it. Will the sea in the video work for me? Thanks
Steve October 05, 2015 for Model Number FGHD2433KW1 I replaced the door sweep gasket part number 15475901. The new gasket has a 1/4" slot cut in the middle and I get water gushing out through that slot. How do I prevent the water from leaking at this point?
1 Answer Steve, Make sure that you got the gasket in place correctly. The slot should most likely go up and not down. We have no other information on the part. Read More...
Josh July 04, 2015 for Model Number electrolux, FBD2400KW3A Hi, I feel like I need a bottom door seal that goes all the way the across without the gap in the middle, it keeps leaking by going through the gap and spilling over the lip. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Josh, The "gap" in the bottom, middle of the door seal is "Normal" it allows residual water to return to the dishwasher tub during the washing process. You need to check and make sure the dishwasher is level in both directions the spray arm action can create a wave and force the water under/around the seal. You also want to check the lower spray arm 5304518927 for debris in the openings and check the edges of the arms for cracks and split seams. This will also direct water at the bottom of the door and it will blow out through the gap. If all's OK, then replace the door seal 809006501 and the splash shield kit 809006501 as an update. Ben June 17, 2015 for Model Number FGHD2465NF1A Just purchased new bottom gasket for the door 809006501. Is it normal for some water to make its way around this gasket and into the trough area below the gasket? I initially thought this was a problem when i replaced it as it was leaking on the floor. It does not fill enough to spill out of trough onto floor at this point, just wondering if what I'm seeing is normal operation? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ben. It shouldn't leak, but it is normal to see water behind the gasket during a cycle. Read More...
Matt June 03, 2015 for Model Number FGHD2465NF1A I am trying to install the door seal at the bottom of the door. I have watched the videos and read the Q&A on your site. The seal will not stay in the door. I understand that it should slide in and the grooves on the seal should lock with corresponding grooves on the door. I can seem to feel it lock, but when I open and close the door it becomes misaligned and the right side falls out. I also understand that I have to make sure the seal does not catch on the door latch.
1 Answer Hello Matt, In the case where the lower "gasket" will not remain in position, use a bit if high temperature adhesive WPY055980 inside the groove to help hold it in position. Read More...
Joan June 01, 2015 for Model Number du915pwpt2 whirlpool dishwasher My dishwasher after running it for a while the water is coming out the bottom under the door I have changed the gasket and it is still leaking.
1 Answer Hello Joan. We need to check and make sure there is not to much soap in the unit and it is causing the unit to have suds and leak. If not, then we need to check all the spray arms for clogs and cracks. If all of them are good, the last place to go is if the unit is overfilling. If so, then it may be the float switch or a leaking valve. Read More...
Hector L May 31, 2015 for Model Number FGHD2433KF1 I have a leak coming from the bottom of the motor. The two O'rings (rear adn front) are in good shape. I believe the water is going throug the seals of the drive shaft. the ones that are behind the blade. Do I need to change the complete motor unit? Are the seal/gasket available to be changed?
1 Answer Hello Hector. You will need to replace the motor kit 154844101. The gasket is not available separately. Read More...
Mark May 24, 2015 for Model Number DGBD2432KW1 I would like to order a bottom seal but I don't know if the one listed is the correct one.
Gretchen January 17, 2015 for Model Number FGHD2465NB1A I ordered the bottom door gasket, 809006501. This one has a small, (1/4 inch) gap in the front center. The current gasket does not. Is this a defect in the new part or an upgrade to the old? Will this gap cause more water to fill in the door trough ans more leaking, or faster drainage of this space?
1 Answer Hello Gretchen! The gasket, part number 809006501, is suppose to have the 1/4" gap in the center. It is a manufacturer replacement part and may differ in appearance but is a functional equivalent to the original. Thanks. Read More...
Emily January 05, 2015 for Model Number FRIGIDAIRE DISHWASHER FDBB4365FC0 6 year old Frigidaire dishwasher with a leak coming from the door so I came on this website and purchased a new door seal. Watched the video for installation, but knew something was wrong when I did not have to push very hard to get the new door seal in or pull very hard to get the old one out. Could it be that my interior door is somehow warped causing a loose grip? The door seal will not stay in. Sometimes it even slides out the bottom of the door. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Emily. There is a lip you have to press the seal into. If not in the lip, it will fall out. Read More...
