Cade M for Model Number fghd2465nw1a

I bought the replacement because my old gasket fell of and melted on the heating element and made a mess all over the floor. When i received the replacement it had the gap in it and every time i used it it would leak out. I cut the melted part off the old one with no gap and that works but i am afraid since part of it that locks into the door is gone it will fall out again. but the replacement with the gap is not working is there somewhere you can get it without the gap?
