Hello Tintin, Remove the door from the unit and place it on a table protected with a thick towel. Disassemble the door and be sure to place the screws so they will be put back into the places where they were removed. You can take pictures with your phone or simply place the screws in a position where you can remember where they go. It is important that a larger screw is not forced into a smaller hole since the smaller screws will not hold in the larger holes.

Hello Cherie, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can see if we can locate any information on the microfische and recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Lawson for Model Number Tappan 36-3692-0001

The door on this 20 year old oven drops too low when open. The hinge on one side has the top screw missing, so it is loose, and on the other side, the hinge appears to overextend - that is, the part that slides in and out of the oven as the door is opened seems to come out farther than it should. Do I need new hinges or are there separate springs and screws I can order? Do you have a video that shows how to replace the hinges? Thanks!

Lawson, you can replace the oven door springs part number 318088400 and the screw is part number 134154100. If needed the left hinge is part number [318348801] and the right hinge is part number 318348800. Unfortunately, we do not have a video at this time. Thanks.

Hello Brad, Based on the information provided it sounds as if though the spring 318088400 would be the problem. The spring attaches to the hook end of the hinge and if the spring comes loose the door will not be able to stay closed properly or open properly.
