Lauren Moeski April 19, 2020 for Model Number Frigidaire Oven GLGF386DCC Hi- the igniter in my oven has a metal case around the lighting element. But the igniter shown on your site does not. Are they interchangeable?
1 Answer Lauren, The igniter 5304534663 will come with the metal casing on it. If it does not then the old one can be put on the new one. Read More...

Ted P. January 30, 2019 for Model Number PLGFZ397GCF Broil turns on and works great. The oven will not come on and heat. What are the possibilities of the problem?
1 Answer Hello Ted, You will need to first check the amperage draw of the ignitor 5304534663. If it does not read at least 3.2 amps, the ignitor is weak and will have to be replaced. This is normally indicated by the color of the glow of the ignitor when energized. If it glows red or orange, it is not drawing enough amperage to open the gas valve. If it is glowing yellow to white hot, the problem will likely be the gas valve 316404901 since this is hot enough to open the gas valve. Read More...
1 Answer Brian, A good "flat" oven hot surface ignitor will usually have a resistance reading of 40 to 90 ohms(+/- 10%) at room temperature. A resistance check isn't the best way to diagnose a weak or inefficient igniter. A "clamp on" ammeter is the easiest and best way to test the igniter. When the igniter is glowing for 30 to 60 seconds, there should be a 3.2 to 3.6 amp draw on the igniter wire. The second option would be to test the voltage across the terminals of the oven safety valve. With the igniter glowing, there should be 3.2 to 3.6 VAC across the two terminals of the gas safety valve. These are a bit more accurate and indicative of a "good" or "bad" oven igniter. Read More...
Emma June 01, 2018 for Model Number FGF366ECC I am assuming that the oven sometimes releases gas without igniting, most often when I first turn on the oven, but sometimes during operation. The odor of gas is pretty strong at times. What part do I need to replace?
1 Answer Hello Emma, I would have the gas company check the pressure first since most of the time they will do this at no charge. If the problem is not found to be a pressure issue, I would replace the gas valve 316404901. Read More...
Jack November 21, 2017 for Model Number GAS182G2A1 THE UNIT WON'T BAKE. I ORDERED YOUR IGNITER REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLED. STILL WON'T BAKE. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?
1 Answer Jack, A proper model number would help ( GAS182G2A1 is a air Conditioner) Check to make sure the new ignitor is not cracked, broken, or damaged. Make sure you have the wiring properly attached and plugged in tightly. Then check to make sure there is voltage(120 VAC) to the igniter from the ERC/Clock. Then if all's OK you'll need to check the voltage from the igniter to the oven safety valve terminals, while the igniter is glowing there should be 3.2 to 3.6 VAC across the terminals on the safety valve. Jessica September 14, 2016 for Model Number Fgfl87dce I am replacing the oven igniter and needed to know what size ceramic wire nut to get.
Brett July 01, 2016 for Model Number FGF366EMC Oven doesnt heat and broiler will not light. I've watched you videos and don't see this anywhere.
1 Answer Brett, If you look on the side of the burner there will be a bracket that holds the igniter in place and should be located near the center of the broiler. The bake igniter would be located on the side of the bake burner. Read More...
