This ignitor/orifice assembly combines the surface burner spark electrode with the orifice holder that meters gas to the burner. Replacing a worn assembly restores reliable ignition and proper gas flow for steady, even flame performance.

  • Provides the spark to ignite surface-burner gas
  • Houses the orifice that controls gas flow into the burner head
  • Helps resolve burners that won't light or only light with a match
  • Can improve weak, uneven, or delayed ignition
  • Replaces cracked or carbon-tracked electrodes and corroded orifice holders
What's included: One ignitor/orifice assembly. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before servicing
  • Let the cooktop cool; remove grates, caps, and burner heads to access the assembly
  • Disconnect the spark lead and gas connection, install the new assembly, and secure fittings per OEM guidance
  • After reassembly, restore gas and check connections for leaks with an approved leak-detection solution; verify ignition and flame

Hello Duane, the safety valve comes with the natural gas bake burner orifice already installed, if your stove has been converted to LP gas, just remove the LP bake orifice from the old valve and install it on the new valve, if the old valve has been discarded then you will need to order the LP conversion kit, part GRLP3

Terry for Model Number LGGF3043KPG

MY question is we have a Frigidare gas oven and it does not seem to heat up to the temp that is needed, I replaced the gas regulator on propane tank outside and it helped for one time we used the oven and then it stopped and did the same thing like not heating up to 400 like wife wanted for cooking now is there anything that would cause this to happen , like the thermostat or switch? Or would it be the control valve in the bottom of the oven it self? Stumped

1 Answer

Terry, You will want to check to see if the igniter is glowing. If it is then test the oven valve for 3.2 to 3.6 vac to it. If there is then the valve will be the issue. If not then igniter will be the issue. Also check the oven sensor to make sure that it has 1090 ohms of resistance at 77 degrees.
