This inverter is the compressor control module that converts incoming power and regulates motor speed for variable-speed compressors, helping the fridge maintain consistent temperatures and energy-efficient cooling. What it does:

  • Supplies and converts power to the compressor motor so the compressor runs at variable speeds
  • Regulates compressor speed to maintain steady cooling and reduce temperature swings
  • Can cause the compressor not to run or intermittent cooling when faulty
  • Fault symptoms may include error codes, fridge not cooling, or unusual compressor behavior/noise
What's included:
  • One inverter (compressor control) module
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before starting to avoid shock
  • Handle the board carefully and avoid static discharge; use ESD protection if available
  • Verify the replacement PN and wiring match the original before connecting

For Frigidaire Inverter (Compressor Control) (Part Number: OEM11108925)

Peter S for Model Number FLSC238DSN

I have a frigidaire side by side refrigerator model #: FLSC238DSN. Seems when one thing goes broke, many follow. i replaced the water dispenser, i had issues with the fridge & freezer temp. i replaced with defrost thermosta & heater thermostat. Now the fridge is running great and so is the freezer except the temperature is constantly fluctuating from 0-8 and back to 0 almost all day long constantly but things remain ice cold, is this an issue now with the sensor? what else can you direct me in solving this issue?

1 Answer

Peter, You will want to make sure that the condenser coils are clean on the unit which if they are dirty can cause a fluctation. Also check to make sure that the condenser fan motor is running. If these check ok then the sensor would be the most likely issue.

David, With the entire unit shutting down for a couple of days then the inverter will most likely not be the cause. The most likely issue will be a faulty main control board which is part number 5304498781.

Hello Mariano. This is normal. Also, it can be caused by the food stored on the bins in the door. It is normal for the fridge door to open a little when the freezer door is closed. It is best to hand close both doors when you get something out of the unit.

Hello Neil, The inverter not only starts and stops the compressor, but it also determines the speed the compressor needs to run to acheive proper temperatures under specific room and compartment conditions.

Randall S for Model Number Frigidare Refirgerator Model FGHC2344KFO

Hi, Thanks for the help. My refrigerator is cycling with a beep tone and going on and off, the interior lights and temperature reading on the front of the door flash on and off. The fresh food side of the refrigerator is warm but the freezer stays cold. It sounds like the compressor is making it's normal noises. I've located both the main power board and the inverter boards and can replace those myself. The refer has been located in a very warm (90F) vacation home. Would replacing either or both of these boards fix the refer do you think? Thanks so much for the help. Randall

1 Answer

Randall, With the freezer working but the refrigerator not you will want to check to make sure that you do not have heavy frost building on the evaporator coil. If there is then you will want to check the continuity of the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. If they both check ok then the main board would be the issue and if one of them does not have continuity then you will want to replace the bad part. Also check to see if you can feel air blowing into the refrigerator compartment. If not and the evaporator coils are clean then the damper may be the issue. You can also run a service test for the unit to confirm operations of the heater for defrost and the damper. The tech sheet should be located under the front of the unit.

Carolyn, The inverter is most likely not going to cause temperature fluctuation in the freezer compartment without affecting the refrigerator compartment. It may be that the unit is staying in defrost for too long of a period or the sensors in the freezer may potentially be defective.

Hello Glen, If the temperatures are going way up and down you probably have a bad connection either to a sensor or the defrost circuit may have an issue. This could be a bad board, bad connection, defrost issue, a fan motor failing so it only runs once in a while. I could guess all day but to get any good results I need to ask you to please post a model number so I at least know what design we are discussing. Let us know and we will assist as much as possible.
