1 Answer Gordon, Yes, this could occur. The "SY CF " error in the display indicates a system (sy) communication failure (cf). Presumably, the refrigerator is not cooling based on the inverter portion of you question. You'll need to check for the 12 VDC power supply to the inverter from the control board (across J3 pin 1 and J3 pin 2) and at the inverter board connector on the compressor. Read More...

The differece is about 40 dollars. What is the difference with the inverters, and will those differences if any affect my frig in a posive or negative way?
