Angie December 23, 2015 for Model Number LFBD2409LF0B Our door quit latching on our Frigidaire dishwasher just a few months after we got it. We have to use a screwdriver to pop the latch so the handle isn't "loose", just to get the dishwasher to run. We have to prop something against the door to keep it closed. I keep running my model # and when I find the part, I make sure it's compatible by using the compatibility tool, but then it tells me it's not compatible. We need to do something about this door. Help!

Pete July 20, 2014 for Model Number LFBD2409LW0A My Fridgidaire dishwasher is ~2 years old. It locks up, no operation but I can unplug the unit and it will come on and cycle/drain then it locks up again and Heat Dry light blinks on and off along with wash/dry/clean and sanitize lights. I noticed also that when it is running, I can push on the door by the handle and the door switch will click and the heat Dry light flashes in sequence with it. Not sure which part I may need. Any suggestions? thanks
1 Answer Pete, The indicator lights flashing would signal that the door is open and would need to be closed. With the door being closed and them still flashing it sounds like a door switch issue and you would want to replace the latch A00099902. Read More...
John L B September 06, 2013 for Model Number LFBD2409LBOA Just purchased this item and found when closing the door you have to really push hard to latch the door, was wondering if there is an adjustment to solve my problem. Please advise, thank you John
1 Answer John, If you pull the unit out from the cabinet you should be able to adjust the latch catch. There would be 2 screws that hold it in place and make sure that they are not loose and make slight adjustment. You do not want to have to push really hard but still want to have to push some. 1 Answer Hello Mark. You need to check the door latch and check the door switches in the unit to see if they are bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Mict October 24, 2011 for Model Number FDB1500LFB0 For Latch Assy Part Number: AP3867063, how can I test to confirm it is working? There are 4 points I can use a multimeter to test for closed loop.
1 Answer Hello Mict. Test each micro-switch. With the latch A00099902 attached to the strike, the switches should read closed. If not, you will need to replace the latch assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
