Patty December 09, 2019 for Model Number FDB1250REC2 The previous owners of our home said the dishwasher worked fine for them, but it never has for us. It will do one load and does a great job. The green light by clean is on at the end of the cycle. When I try to do the next load, the dishwasher will not start when I push the start button. I have to turn the breaker off and back on. The lights will be flashing, I press clear and all lights go out. Then I can press start and it washes the load. There seems to be a lot play in the latch at times and it is hard to latch. Do you think replacing the latch is all it needs, or are there other parts we need to replace? It is just odd that flipping the breaker allows it to work if the latch is bad. Thanks for your answer.
1 Answer Hello Patty, the selector pushbuttons are getting stuck and lock up the control board, resetting the circuit breaker just resets the control board and allows anther cycle to be run, the buttons are part of the control board assembly 154568301. Read More...
Bunnie Girl October 01, 2019 for Model Number GLDB756AS0 Hello my door switch/latch on my Frigidaire dishwasher has broken/is loose and is not returning/or springing back in to position. The operation of the dishwasher is not effected, meaning the electrical part of the switch is not bad, just the plastic handle piece. Is switch replacement my only option? And if so is part A00099902 the correct part to fix? My local dealer is selling the correct switch in a kit with a door gasket. I don't need the gasket. That part number is: 5304442173 Thanks you Pros you!
1 Answer Bunnie Girl, the manufacturer shows the handle as only being available in the latch kit which includes the gasket. The latch kit in white would be part number 5304442175, and the kit in black would be part number 5304442175. Read More...

Jen January 18, 2019 I have a Frigidaire Ultra Quiet III dishwasher - we have been noticing that the door latch seemed to be breaking. Sure enough the other night a piece broke off and now the latch is loose and the dishwasher will not run. Will replacing the latch fix this problem? I noticed that some of the latches had a "fuse" looking piece on it.
1 Answer Jen, replacing the door latch should correct the issue. However, you would want to ensure the proper part is used. If you could provide the model number for your appliance by adding it to a new inquiry, we can assist in ensuring you have to correct part number. Read More...
Steve September 18, 2018 for Model Number 587.15262900 I recently purchase a door latch assembly (A00099901) for my Kenmore dishwasher. I installed it no problem, but I didn't take note of which terminal the black connector wires attach to when I took it apart. Should the black wires be on the left or the right? I've found videos online indicating it should be left/right or it doesn't matter. Right now I have them on the right and the dishwasher appears to be working fine. Just worried about it exploding or something.
1 Answer Hello Steve, As long as both black wires are on one switch and both white wires are on the other, it will work normally. Read More...
Chandler September 24, 2017 for Model Number FFBD2406NS1A Hello, my latch still latches the door closed but none of the lights will come on and the dishwasher won't start at all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the latch has some sort of fuse in it? Could that be the issue? Or could there be another problem that's keeping it from turning on/lightng up. Thanks in advance for your time and efforts to solve my problem
1 Answer Hello Chandler. Make sure there is power coming to the unit. If so, then the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jennifer C June 24, 2017 for Model Number FFBD2411NQ0A Dear expert: my dishwasher (with the model entered), its door needs to be shut really quickly and very hard, otherwise the door won't latch. Do you advise that I should replace the door latch? or if I should replace something else please advise, I will order parts from you. Thank you and looking forward to your advice.
1 Answer Jennifer, It would be recommended to check the door strike to make sure that it did not shift but it does sound like the issue will be a faulty door latch assembly. Read More...
Jeffrey E March 25, 2017 for Model Number FFBD2406NB7B Hello, I removed the latch and unplugged the front panel and plugged it back in. Now the lights in the front work and when I hit start it goes through the cycle but the motor or water isn't working and the with the door open the buttons still work. Does this seem like it could be the latch?
1 Answer Jeffrey, This issue would most likely not be with the latch but sounds more likely a control board issue with the unit. Read More...
Jeffrey E. March 23, 2017 Buttons will not light up and cycle didn't finish. Still water in dishwasher. There is power going to the dishwasher. Would this be a latch issue?
1 Answer Hello Jeffrey, You will first need to remove the kickpanel and make sure there are no loose wire nuts in the power connection box on the dishwasher. From here we will need to please ask you to post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can pull the technical information on your unit for proper diagnosis and recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
