Danielle July 08, 2016 for Model Number C67PXEKE-4429 I have a stackable Frigidaire combo, dryer works, washer when you turn the knob nothing! I mean no water, no noises, NOTHING! Doesn't move, nothing. Could this be the motor? Does the motor run the pump that fills the washer? Is that why it's not getting water?! PLZ HELP!!!
1 Answer Hello Danielle. No, you will need to check the water valve, pressure switch, and lid switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Julius December 04, 2015 for Model Number FLEB43RGS1 I have the washer dryer combo and it started smoking and quit working. After diagnosis found the capacitor was bad. I replaced it and now it works, but when it spins there's alot of smoke from the capacitor area and capacitor is real hot. Is the motor bad causing this to happen?
1 Answer Julius, Yes the motor being defective will cause the issue of the smoking of the capacitor and you would want to replace the motor. Read More...
Wolflahti November 12, 2015 I have a p/n 13176130 motor (model c67pxeja-4404) and need to know which wires are for what; there are white, orange, blue, yellow, and red. The white goes through a plastic box and leads back to the yellow. There was also a Molex connector with purple, grey, black, green, orange, red, and black/red. Purple, grey, and green have no apparent connection; black connects to white, orange to orange, red to blue, and black/red to yellow. There is no Molex connection to the motor's red. Perhaps some Molex pins are missing. I have no idea, and any information is much appreciated.
1 Answer Hello WolfLahti. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. Here is a link to help you locate it. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Glen July 25, 2015 for Model Number FEZ831AS2 - Stacked Washer/Dryer Frigidaire Hi, The washer was leaking from the tub seal so I replaced with parts I purchased on appliancepartspros.com. It was a difficult process as the stacked washer made removing the inner tub difficult with years of corrosion on the agitator bolts and trunion bolts. I was able to resolve all issues and put the unit back together the way it was. When testing the unit for its first trial(empty), the water filled the tub as it should, and then when it was time for it to start agitating the load I heard and saw nothing happening. After about 20 seconds I saw light smoke and a burnt smell from the motor area as if was trying to run but was obstructed. I immediately shut the unit off. After a few moments I turned the dial to "rinse" the water out of the tub and it kicked into spin/rinse mode. The motor started without hesitation and rinsed the water out and spun. I gave it another shot and ran a complete cycle from soak, agitate, rinse and spin. Everything worked as it should. Did the motor have a "temporary" problem with the smoke and burnt smell or is this a sign of problems to come. Thanks for all your help. Great website
1 Answer Hello Glen. The unit may have been in a bind. The motor reverses to spin out. This could have released the bind. If the unit is working now, it should be fine. Read More...
Daniel April 11, 2015 for Model Number MEX731CFS4 I am getting a loud clicking noise, warm belt smell, and heat from the motor in a MEX732CFS4 washer. When the washer is empty, it will go through all cycles without issue. With clothes in the washer, when the agitator cycle is running, the motor will get hot and will emit a loud clicking sound at times. There appears to be a white object that appears intermittently at the top of the motor frame, as if something is dropping down on the shaft. The appearance of this item coincides with the clicking. Does this indicate an overload or failed motor?
1 Answer Daniel, If there is something protruding from the motor as it spins then this would require a new motor to be installed. Read More...
Michael October 30, 2014 i have a frigudaire washer dryer. combo. Ive pulled the washer motor an it only hums untill I start it by hand. I've checked the start capictor and it checked out good. The model number is peeled off so I don't know it. The part number for the motor is 134156400. I also can't find the paper inside the machine to help me further diagnose it. How do I test the motor itself an what else do I look for
1 Answer Michael, Unfortunately we would not be able to assist without the model number as we would need to have it to determine the wiring configuration for the motor. We cannot go by the part number of the motor as several units would use this motor. Read More...
Joe P June 29, 2014 for Model Number FEX831CS0 The washing machine will fill with water, but will not agitate and the timer does not advance during the wash cycle. During this time there is no noise coming from the motor. However when the timer is advanced it will drain and spin and the timer will advance. We have replaced the timer but that has not fixed it. We know the motor is functioning since the spin cycle works. Could the issue be the capacitor? Or is there an internal switch in the motor for when it agitates? If there is a switch in the motor for this, can just the switch be replaced?
1 Answer Hello Joe. The motor has to reverse to agitate. It could be a bad winding and the motor needing to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Justin Sinclair May 30, 2014 for Model Number MEX731CFS1 I have a Frigidaire washer/dryer combo unit. The washer agitates, spins, and drains normally but after 2 minutes of continued operation, it emits a burning rubber/plastic smell, and sometimes also smoke comes out when you open the lid. Sometimes on a small cycle, it runs normally without the burning smell or smoke. On a big load, it almost always smells during wash or spin. Help please! The dryer is fine and the unit is 4 years old.
1 Answer Justin, Based on the information it sounds like the motor is dragging on the heavier loads and would need to be replaced. Read More...
