Aj June 12, 2015 for Model Number gltf294jfs0 An E 56 code popped up on the washer when the start button is pressed nothing happens could the motor be bad?
1 Answer AJ, Yes the E56 Error code indicates a problem in the motor 137043000 or motor control board 134743500. Here's some help : 1. Remove the belt from the motor and spin the motor pulley. Does the motor spin free? If not replace motor. 2. Spin the tub pulley. Does the tub spin free ? If not check tub bearings. 3. Disconnect the plug from the motor and measure the resistance of the windings (pin 1 to pin 2, pin 1 to pin 3, pin 2 to pin 3). All readings should be between 4 and 6 Ohms. If readings are correct replace the Motor control board. Read More...
Brian February 03, 2015 for Model Number 41748102700 Do you have a link on how to run the diagnostics for this washer? I believe it is the motor.
1 Answer Hello Brian. Sorry, Kenmore does not offer that information. If you look inside the cabinet of the unit, you should be able to locate the tech sheet to help you test the unit. Read More...
Jason S January 13, 2015 for Model Number ATF6000FS1 Received error code E59. Drum doesn't turn but I can hear the sounds of it trying. Drum doesn't move when I try to manually move it.
1 Answer Hello Jason. The E59 error code indicates that there was no tach signal for 3 seconds. You will want to access the back of the unit. Remove the belt from the motor. Spin the motor pulley and if it does not spin freely then replace motor. Spin the tub pulley. If it does not spin freely check the tub bearing. If both check ok then disconnect the plug from the drive motor and measure resistance between pins 4 and 5 in the motor. If the meter reads other than between 105 and 130 ohms, replace motor. Measure resistance of the motor windings (pin 1 to 2, pin 1 to 3, and pin 2 to 3). All readings should be between 4 and 6 ohms. If readings are correct then replace speed control board. If incorrect then replace the motor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Charlie December 19, 2014 for Model Number Frigidaire ATF6000ES0 Hi This washer won't spin the clothes dry. It does agitate back and forth. I changed the belt and the motor control. It make a loud humming noise when in the spin cycle. What else is left to change? Is it the motor? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Charlie. Check the pump and see if the noise is coming from there. This unit will not spin until the water is drained. Read More...
Sam December 16, 2014 for Model Number 417.44052400 I have a front load washer 417.44052400. Washer stopped during cycle and towels were soaking wet. Water did drain. When on "DRAIN/SPIN" works for 2 seconds and shuts off. When on "NORMAL" does NOT work. Lock engages, and makes an electrical click, and another electrical click 20 seconds later but does NOTHING. Ran diagnostic test and received error E59. Tub spins freely with or without the belt. Motor also turns freely with belt off with little or no resistance. Replaced motor control board and issue still persists with same symptoms as before. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Hello Sam. Sounds like the motor is bad and will need to be replaced. Make sure the wiring on the unit is good. Read More...
Peter August 12, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore he4t front loading washer Hi I have a code f06 driving me nuts.... ran diagnostics Green light three beeps all good. Tested the drive motor 6.5-6.7 ohms? Good I think. If we unplug it works for a day or so... so motor MCU CCU? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Peter. It sounds like the CCU is bad and will need to be replaced. However, if you replace it and the code continues, the manufacturer says to replace the MCU. Read More...
Paul July 04, 2014 for Model Number Atfb6700fso I have a Frigidaire front load washer. Belt is fine and pump works but it won't spin. What are the likely reasons?
Kim March 12, 2014 for Model Number ftfb4000fso Hello, I have a front load Fridgidaire washer FTFB4000FSO. It stopped running mid cycle. If you try to turn it back on it runs for about 30 seconds and then turns back off. I checked for a code and came up with E55. I cleaned out the filter for the pump, and am still having the same problem. Thanks for any help you can give.
1 Answer Kim, The E55 indicates a motor overheating. You will want to pull the belt off the motor pulley and check to see if the motor pulley spins freely. If the motor pulley spins freely then do a resistance check on the motor pins. Check 1 to 2, 1 to 3 and 2 to 3 and they should all measure 4 to 6 ohms. You will also want to check to see if the tub pulley spins freely. If the tub pulley and motor pulley spin freely and the resistance checks ok then replace the speed control board 134743500. If the tub pulley does not spin freely then you will need to replace the rear outer tub 134507120 because the bearings are bad. If the motor pulley does not spin freely then replace the motor and if the motor pulley does spin freely and the motor does not read proper resistance then replace the motor 137043000. Read More...
Paul November 11, 2013 for Model Number 137043000 I have a frigidaire, I get no error codes, the washer does not go to a full spin cycle, it goes to a partial spin but not the full speed, could this be the motor.
Rachel October 20, 2013 for Model Number FTF2140ES3 My washer will agitate and go through the wash cycles but when it comes time to spin out the clothes it won't. I have now replaced both the speed control board and the main control board to no avail. Could it be the motor gone bad?? Im kinda at a loss here and would rather not keep dumping money into it if its not going to fix my problem.
1 Answer Hello Rachel. Check and see if the pump is clogged. If the pump is working fine, replace the door lock assembly 131763256 on the unit. Read More...
